that's nice.

Shall we say S.I.N.G.H is going to become K.I.N.G?

i have made a led circuit myself and soon going to install it in the stock dome light assembly.
i am posing pics of the circuit.

Can you please give some details about the LEDs. It looks like the bulbs from Britelite torch(which is so bright white). Do this have any special name? and how about the price?

i ordered the leds (300 in number) from rk industries, chandigarh through ebay. they were or great help in making the circuit also. each led cost me rs4. and to be used in parallel, i had to use a 1k ohm resistor.

looking forward to see them - and educate myself

keep the good work going

Planning for DIY led day running lamp. First step I bought some leds. I am thinking of set of 5 leds.

I am not so good with electrical stuff, so I need some help regarding the connections and resistance to be used like that.

I am attaching some pics of the 3 led connected in series to a 12v bike battery. I think they are pretty bright.

Looks like high watt LEDs. how much did it cost you ? .
BTW Where did you put them in the car .

Haven't decided yet. May be in the grill.

dont forget the resistors!

I am a noob in electrical stuff. Don't know how to make the connections perfect. ie, with out any burn outs and over load of the leds :deadhorse

how much watts are those LED's rated ? if you dont know, go back to the shop and ask. I have a gut feeling that they are 1/2 watters at the max

EDIT: if they dont know, we'll assume that they are 1/2 W = 150mA across 3.5V should mean a 33 Ohm, 1W resistor if you plan to connect it with three LED's in series

Yes I'll ask the wattage. What if the shop people don't know?

You do not get more than a half watt in that' package' and the price you mentioned. Good ones. Do not cut the leads too short in your application, as it uses them as heat sink also.
