Gum-like smell from the air-conditioner?

hahahahaha....now the smell has vanished and yeah when it was there, it wasn't as pleasant as tutti-frutti or spearmint - if it was, i would have left it like that

Thanks so much guys - now the smell has vanished. This is what I did - I'm not sure if this fixed it, but I hope.

As soon as I park my car, I switch of the AC alone and leave the blower running and after a minute or so, I switch off the blower and then the engine. Now the smell does not seem to be there after i religiously followed it for few days. I read this in the link posted by psp62in.

Thanks so much once again - may be in a week I will confirm if this smell had vanished completely.
