Hi
I tried to enable staging through VCDS on my polo highline, 2016 model but kept getting errors. I see that lots of bhpians have got it enabled on their polo so can anyone guide me with the process and the plausible reason for the error. |
Look for indicator celebration in the adaptations list, Enable that and check.
There is nothing in the name of indicator celebration in the options. The option is for staging but I am unable to enable it. As soon as I click on staging, some error pops up.
Which module are u coding? Instruments. Look in adaptation not coding. You will see indicator_celebration

Staging won't work, Go to instruments module - Adaptations - Search for Indicator celebration - Enable it.

I tried doing it in the instrument module only by going to adaptations. Having read about indicator celebration and staging, I did look for indicator celebration as well when staging gave me error. However that is not present.
I will try again tomorrow and post a screenshot for reference.

Do check it tomorrow once more, Indicator celebration is located almost at the last of the adaptation list.
Gentleman,
My 2010 TDI Jetta MK5 is in service. The ABS light is always 'ON' and has the following error codes. The service center had the car for 4 days and has run out of options. They are asking me to change the ABS motor itself which i know will cost a bomb.
Any help here is appreciated! I'm clueless.

It can be rebuilt but you need to send it out of the country

Check your local car market, Such parts are surprisingly easy to get as people who scrap accidental cars are well aware of such modules, Give a call here and there, You should be able to find a Rear left ABS wheel sensor and a ABS control module itself, No matter how costly it will still be much cheaper than a new one.
Hi Everyone,
Just a quick question on the counterfeit VCDS cables. I keep hearing from various sources that these cables can adversely affect your car as it may mess up with the coding or damage some modules.
Anybody heard of this?

When the fault code says that the wheel speed sensor is faulty at the rear left wheel, why not change that and check? Why are you thinking of changing the ABS pump?

Not possible. The counterfeit are as dangerous as original one in wring hands😉. There is no additional risk

We tried doing that with a new left rear sensor, but that did not work. The warning light went out briefly but came back on. Looks like either the ABS Control unit is fried or the motor itself.:Frustrati

Abhi, Where are you put up in Chennai. May be we can meet. I have the same model and had the same light pop up few weeks back. I cleaned up the sensor and sensor contacts and basically it went off automatically.
It could also be because of the wheel itself or rat bites. Please join the TBHP Chennai whats app group and we can meet in person to check. I have the VAGCOM cables as well

After fitting a new left rear sensor (approx. Rs. 4000) and cleaning the back side of the disc the Technician has to reset all faults. Then you should check what faults reappear.
I have had both rear ABS sensors replaced on my Passat and it is not rare for the abs sensor to conk out. Many car owners have experienced the same.
Good luck !
