Re: Dzire security system fails, unlocks all doors!

The verdict given by nippon was manufacturing defect. There was problem in the wiring and the module both.
I think you havent got the issue yet. The question is if there is any issue with the wire / module or whatever it is, does it interfere the locking system of the car by unlocking it? If its unlocking by itself then its a serious security threat.

No, not yet. Do you think the module / wires are fool proof for ever?

The ASC didn't have an answer to that question as to why it unlocked all doors. The cause of the problem was manufacturing defect and wiring problem. It is a security hazard that it opens all the doors and deactivates the alarms. You only have the immobilizer to save you. But the radio and things kept inside are at risk

No, immobilizer is also not going to save, if "they" have a spare ECU, its only a 5-10 minute job for an expert.

So in short people that have this issue and don't have proper parking area or security are doomed. I think I should write a mail regarding this issue and would add this link to it. What says?

Dont diesel engines have injector pairings which will be required every time a new ECU or injector is added? I dont think the car will crank up as soon as the ECU is swapped.

Moreover, Rockporium, stop worrying too much since in this way, any car can be stolen irrespective or a maruti or a hyundai or anything. They should have a spare ECU, which will crank up the engine, along with a key with similar pattern that can turn the car ON. Even if they hotwire the ignition and fuel pump, the electrical systems should be turned on by the key. Hence ECU + Similar Key is not worth for a small car and perhaps such high end thieves would gain better by stealing high end cars

So moral of the story maruti saves you by not being high end the greatest security feature

No one can come, change the ECU and steal a car. The immobilizer, key transmitter are all coded with a common one to the immobilizer so relax.

Do write a mail but expect to reach Nanda and also the Nippon service engineer who has done the job.

Check other online forums, eg some Bimmer forums, people are able to do that.
