I hads contacted shell and I got the reply by email, they said their normal and super petrol is with octane 91, only differnece is shell super has engine cleaning additives.

When I contacted Toyota they recomanded any normal Petrol for my Petrol Innova. They also replied me saying I can use premium Petrol but
normal is more than enough. If its 91 octane normal petrol its still better, so I realized Shell normal Petrol is the right choice for Petrol Innova.

I also heard from experts Ifwe use super (premium) petrol always and use normal in between we won't get benefit of using premium petrol and also
engine might face some issues of harsh noice/vibration etc.. so use either
premium petrol or just normal one.

Also there is no difference in fuel economy If we use super or normal petrol. So I feel Normal Petrol is more than enough for all Indian cars except top class imported ones.

Regards,

Ravi.

I use normal unleaded from BP bunker on my swift.
The car some times jerks a little when im in 2nd gear at <20kmph.
Apart from that I stopped using speed, and my swift has been iving good mileage with the regular BP Unleaded ~13kmpl in city and ~16/17kmpl on highways.
Cheers,
AB.
