I have noticed issue with left side DRL only once in my 15 months of usage. But the right DRL issue is more frequent, say once in every 5 start. Want to replace the right DRL, but the service center want to go through troubleshooting route. Next time I should convince them to make the replacement.

Today morning the OBD lamp came on and didn’t go off through a short drive.

I spoke with two Mahindra Service Centres. One advised a tow truck lest the engine gets damaged while driving! When I said the manual says it is likely an emissions problem, he said yes but it could be worse. Then he asked if the engine has lost power and I said, no it’s driving fine. Then he seemed to lose interest and said I could bring it today or tomorrow. The other one didn’t jump to assumptions and asked me to bring it over. Both advised me to come after a couple of hours as it was approaching lunch at the time of the conversations.

When I re-started the car to go to the nearest one, the OBD lamp was no longer on after ignition, which is the way it should be.

Anyone faced this (OBD lamp alert with no loss of power + disappearing on its own) before? Could it simply be quality of diesel (gauge is nearing empty now and I had gone to a new fuel station the last time).

The Thar is June 2021 and has done about 28k KM.

Power window on Driver side stopped working (it does not go up / close). Found a workaround, if i down the window and then try to close it works. Managing with this workaround temporarily, any one having similar issue?

Hi, i bought an automatic diesel 4*4 Thar last month and have done 1k kms. I have been facing issues with the infotainment system when connected to Android auto or Apple car play.
Whenever i connect the phone and try to play music, the radio runs in the background. I raised this issue during my first service and Mahindra said they will update the software, which hasn't helped. Any suggestions or ideas?

This is a very old bug.
Just hit pause and play again in android auto. Does that fix it?

Occasionally my instrument cluster restarts... And that may leave the lights on. The three dots at the end of 'restarts' is for effect =)

The 4x4 never worked when I needed it.
Heck, driving around in 4L today just for giggles... Seems like the 4x4 lever really could just have been replaced with a knob like in other cars if it does nothing mechanically.

The sensor for 4x4 stopped working in my 2015 CRDe and now again in my 2022 Thar.

Sadly. I was far from civilization and misplaced my shovel and it took 4 people to get the car out. I've done tougher sand in Ladhak, so getting stuck by the Sabarmati near it's origin wasn't a real challenge, alas.

Mahindra and their niggles! I also had trouble engaging the 4x4 recently when stuck in mud. It would intermittently engage....sometimes 4x4 and sometimes 4x2. Had a Mod stand next to me and tell me whether the front wheels are moving or not. After a lot of back & forth (and the unpleasant sound of gears crunching), I managed to engage 4x4 and kept it there.

But still got stuck royally

Anyway they found the 4x4 switch to be faulty.
The handle is now very stiff. I wish I could see under the lever boot - could be a new component alignment issue or the likes.

Same thing happened to me a couple of times when the fuel was in the last 30%. I have attached the codes, I request you to get the error codes checked and please share.
The OBD lamp turns itself off after three starts (if the error is not recurring in the next three runs, the lamp stops glowing).

FYI my ECM was also changed recently when my vehicle moved into limp mode in December.

I recently noticed that the left tire of my thar is rubbing on the sway bar. My vehicle is Feb 2021 model. Did anyone experienced the same with their Thars ?
. Its only happening with the left tire and also when I make a U-turn from standstill, it feels like the front 2 tires are dragging on the road surface.
Suggestions are much appreciated.

Ask any tyre aligner to do your steering bump stops. 2 min fix.

Tried getting the wheel alignment done from mahindra authorised service center and from outside. The alignment figures are in range also i couldnt find any steering bump stops on my Thar .
