Were those FE figures achieved with 195mm chewing gums ?
Which brand of fuel do you normally use ?

Those are the only tyres he has - sometimes lighter by a few lug nuts.

His fuel is a heady mix of diesel, kerosene, engine oil, naptha, grease and some petrol : not available in petrol bunks

With the chewing gums and 12 CR with redline shifts 90% of the time (car was taken out only after 12am) it used to return 7kmpl , had to use 103Oct compulosrily .. With the same set of tyres and lower CR car is giving about 13.8 kmpl in city .. Though have been pushing the car specially during the nights .. Using speed , xtramile or shell superunleaded ..

Looks like you haven't seen my collection .. Your tiny swift wont be able to carry 20% of the stock I have ..

Well, if you insist on pushing the car all the time, of course it's going to give great mileage. Most of us prefer driving.

nahin yaar where tyre blindness. I thought you put the neovas just for the drive that day. You have it on as daily tyres?

Saw the skoda today with the neovas. does it also have 2 huge exhaust pipes and k&n badging on the back?

Let me try :

1. Dont idle your car a lot in traffic signals or jams .. If its over 45 secs switch it off ..
2. Fill up petrol/diesel late evenings or early mornings ..
3. Drive with a really light foot .. See where the torque is produced on your car ..
4. Try various shift points to see where the car moves freely and there is no excess load on the engine .. And choose a shift point slightly higher than the lowest rpm you have managed to shift ..
5. Dont take conjested roads ..
6. Drive with a steady throttle , dont over revv or keep playing with the throttle unnecessarily ..
7. Learn to leave early to reach the destination on time .. That way you dont have to hurry ..
8. Or just hire our very own c3po .. He will yell and yell telling you to shift at the right rpm range ..

This sounds funny coming from a 22yr old , this FE thing .. I was expecting you well seasoned guys to let us in on a few secrets to achieve good FE .. Most of you having driven cars since the times we weren't even born ..
