disfigured? Gurus, any idea if that has ever happened in a K&N. @Torque, do you have some pics of that damaged filter?

My guess is this, if you cover your head with a plastic cover and tighten it around your neck and try to inhale the cover crumbles inwards and when you exhale it expands with it. Has this happened? Too bad if it did. Never knew that a metal caged filter can crumple inwards, so much power in a engines Intake stroke???

I am sorry man, I dont have a picture, but I have seen it. It got crumpled. Like a bottle blown inwards...

Also recently it happened to me also. My Typhon kits stock conical intake got screwed. The same thing happend at the service centre.
And I replaced the intake with an extreme filter.
Before:(Thats the intake that got crumpled)

Exactly the same thing happened with my filter. Stupid workshop guys, the cleaner put a polythene on the filter then another smart mechanic started the to top up the coolant.. i raised an alarm but it was already too late. Result disfigured filter. i used it for a bit but later bought a new one for peace of mind.
