1) get a cordless pressure washer + cordless leaf blower (Black and Decker/Dewalt are good options), they are battery powered and do not need a 220V outlet to use, it’ll take 10-15 mins for a quick rinse and air dry, no wiping needed and it’s much less tiring.

Your car looks amazing, have a black car too that has been ceramic coated. It looks beautiful when it's clean but is not easy to maintain. Can you please help with my 2 queries
1) my car is parked in the basement parking, if I use the pressure washer I would probably end up spraying the other cars too. I use the Garry Dean rinseless wash method when I can but that takes almost an hour, any recommendations for something that's faster?

2) What do you do to remove the dust, it collects on my car in 2 days. Tried to get it dusted off by pressurised air but that didn't work. Is the air blower effective to remove dust.? Do you use any additional coating to keep the dust off?

1) I’ve lived in apartments before, it’s a royal pain keeping your paint clean as every other car is bucket washed in the morning and they end up splashing dirty water on your clean paintwork, leaving mud spots, you are also under constant threat from incompetent passengers nicking your doors with theirs while getting in and out of their cars. Only solution is to trade places with someone who has an isolated parking spot, toward the end of the parking. There are people who have vacant spots, you can request them to trade with yours. You should be taking much less than an hour if using a proper rinseless wash like Carpro Echo or Opti no rinse.

No, in fact my car isn’t even coated, just sealant. On a coated car drying is even faster (assuming the coating is healthy).

Appreciate the response. Car is coated with OptiCoat Pro and it's holding well after a year. Use ONR for the rinseless wash, guess I need to find a way to do it faster. Unfortunately no empy parking spots or areas in the society where I can use the washer, so will have to continue to use the local car wash guys.

Hi, am about to buy the cordless washer, can you tell me how much water is needed to wash a mid size car, is one bucket enough? Read a flow rate of 3l/min, not sure if that’s max rating but by that logic for a 15 min wash it needs 45l which is approx 3 buckets !

Rated flow rate for the Black and Decker cordless washer is 113L/hr or 1.88L/min which is around 13L for 7 minutes of continuous use which is generally enough for a medium sized car that’s not very dirty. If the car is very dirty, get it pressure washed at a carwash (without letting them wipe the paint) and have them use a blower/air compressor to dry.

Any links for cordless pressure washer, AJ? I could find just one link for Dewalt on Amazon and that's like 24k

There is the black and decker cordless washer but that doesn’t have good flow or pressure, the only good cordless pressure washer I’ve tested is the Dewalt.

If you want under 10k then only Chinese units are available or you go with a standard 220V Karcher/Bosch.

AJ, got to know that 14k is for the tool only. Battery+charger would cost more (I guess will be ~50k in total). Am I missing something here? I don't have access to a power point in my parking lot.

The one you’ve linked to in the other message seems decent, I’ve never personally used the Dewalt so not sure if that’s the case, definitely won’t be 50k though. The reason I suggested it was I’ve heard good things about it from others who do use it regularly.

Keep in mind with any cordless tool, unless you’re willing to spend a lot, the power and flow rate will be less than a 220v powered machine. But if your ceramic is healthy and all surfaces are coated then these machines can get the job done without much hassle.

Happy to help, don’t pay so much for a cordless tool. 50-80k you can get entry level commercial machines with excellent flow rate and 150 bar pressure, these obviously need 3 phase 440V input so not for domestic use.

Thats a good question, do ask the dealers if it comes with at least one battery + charger, this will be enough for 1 car, you don’t need to buy more packs. If it doesn’t come with any battery then try the other one for 12k you had mentioned. From the video it seemed ok.
