And you are using the colour codes of your spring to arrive at your part number????

And you have 4 different dampers and don't know what to do with them???

This is a good story. One that the VW group might find interesting (humorous at least) in these troubled times.

It's obvious that you need to brush up your knowledge about how spare part supplies are handled by the VW group. There is no need to discuss the colour codes and the part numbers of your dampers a la Maruti.

Relevant Part numbers (or different if applicable) are indicated once the specific VIN number of a car is given. So there can never be a confusion based on the colour of your springs or the part number of your dampers. And you don't tell the ASC what part to order because something doesn't fit !!! (Sorry, run out of icons!!)

Unless you've got the only vRS in India with a different suspension - a one off made for you and your doctor. And the age of your doctor is not a reason to assume that his car's suspension has not been modified when he bought one in the first place.

The reason that the parts didn't fit is a no brainer - but I'll leave you to figure that one out.

Yes, there were some changes to the knuckle etc. The dampers were the same.

But i need to discuss colour codes because VAG does Maybe they didn't listen to you? This is what ETKA (not your EKTA) in a Skoda ASS shows for my VIN.

See ^^ colour codes?? VAG has mentioned colour codes, not just Maruti. Yeah they have colour codes for the springs. Rider 1.8 and other Octavia different colour code. Not vRS colour code. Tell VAG if you think springs should be flat black without any Bindis.

Attaching images from ETKA showing that the front and rear dampers of the vRS and even the 1.9 TDI were the same. The 1.8 TPI Rider and the 1.9 TDI had the same suspension too.

This post is just so that you don't attempt to rewrite history. Again.

Now how about posting the details of the springs too? With the colour code, as mentioned in ETKA? For the 1.9 as well as the Rider 1.8.

@ VeyronSuperSprt - Please share screenshots from ETKA of the springs (1.9 TDI, vRS & Rider).

Hopefully we can get to the bottom of this.
