In my Palio, I can never do this.. even accidentally... because Palio has got double cranking prevention!! If I try to crank the engine which is already on, I just won't be able to turn the key to crank position... It is a cool feature.

Just "blip" your throttle once quickly and gently , I dont have a tach on my swift , my girlfriend has tried to "re start" my car a couple of times.

All this problems will wear out the flywheel teeth for sure. Expect a earlier replacement. Simple and Cool solotion, Get a aftermarket Tacho and get it installed on the dash.
