Better replace the MAF if its gone bad. Engine might run lean or rich with a bad MAF, my 3L which ran fine for 1.5L kms, suddenly the MAF goes bad, I ignore the problem and 10K kms later the engine has enough back-pressure that I had to get it rebuilt. The engine ran too rich or too lean at times due to bad MAF.

You are correct theoritically as regards change at 100K. You may get it checked properly and then decide. My water pump went bad @ 65K and I ignored it for @ 3-4K before deciding to get it changed.

It is most likely Hose| Upper cooling pipe to radiator.

Is there any reason this happen when engine is cool in morning, not in daytime. After reaching office my car is parked for 8-9 hrs but no leakage?

Visited TASS on Saturday and he checked all the pipes and then found that there was leakage from Water Pump,So got water pump changed. Total damages to pocket Rs 3600.

I asked him to check Timing belt also, he checked it and said it is fine and get it changed around 90K.

I asked same guy 10-15 days back check problem with water pump but at that time he said no there is no problem in water pump. This time I was hell bent to chek water pump also.

I seriously doubt the quality of parts TATA is using.

However, there is one issue. When I insert multimeter from the wire side, I do not get voltage, looks like the slots are too tight. I need to use some pins probably and then connect the multimeter to pins to see if MAF is increasing voltage when engine is revved.

If the maf you have found is also bad then you will find loss of power while accelerating, I tried replacing my maf later after the engine was rebuilt although the check engine light went away with the replacement but the engine was now suffering from loss of power, sudden hiccups while accelerating. Unluckily the MAF for 3l Safari costs 18000 rs, Tata has priced it insanely. The one for 2.2 costs 6000 rs, my suggestion if you can buy a new sensor then please do it because like what happenned with me a bad MAF might not in all situations give check engine light.

Please guide me. I always felt the headlamps of my 2011, 2.2 to be weaker as compared to other vehicles around. Even my dad's alto has a better throw. After reading a lot of reviews, I upgraded with ceramic holders, new relays and nightbreakers in place of stock. However, i am still just not satisfied with the performance. While fitting the bulbs, the mechanic left the rear sealing cover behind the lamp loose because of which moisture, dust and a couple of mosquitoes have found their way to the reflector. Now, slight drop in reflection may be attributed to these aliens but what would be a permanent solution to this? HID kit? Any one with a first hand experience? Any expert link? I would be grateful. Thanks to all gurus in advance for their comments.

Try focussing the headlamps first . You just need a Phillips screwdriver the detailed procedure is given in one of the thread by "Dadu"

On top of the headlight assembly you will see a Phillips screw moving it moves HL up or down.

Park your Safari opposite to a plain wall 25 meters away from wall and on the wall make a marking at 76mm height now cover one side of headlight and rotate the screw on the other side HL till the arch just touches 76mm height.

You will see marked improvement after HL is levelled properly.
