Plain simple hair shampoo that comes in one rupee sachet had worked for me pretty well. Empty the sachet into a bucket of water (2 litres) and wash with soft cloth soaked in this soapy water. A clean simple old vest works well as a soft cloth.

Tar stuck on the lower body
cannot be removed using just shampoo. You need something to dissolve the tar, and shampoo
does not do that.
Team,
Am planning on a TAR removal activity this weekend from my car , its not only a few concentrated areas but the overall sides and also the bumpers which are feeling rough to the touch , so am assuming that there are miniature TAR spots all over the car body except for the roof which seems to be smooth.
Now am having a can of Turpentine at home and was thinking of using this to remove the TAR , has anyone used turpentine before ?
cheers :thumbs up

Use Diesel. Don't use turpentine.
