Mondeo Problem...

Hey Guys..

Pardon me.... as I am a new member and have always loved cars but just starting to learn more about the technicalities nw besides my job.

My car has been running perfectly fine until today... . Was driving back today from Pune and on the way back to town and it started giving me real bad jerks through out the way..and finally stopped completely dead.

There has not been any accident with it EVER.. or any other damage. Is it a serious problem?

maybe the fuel injectors got jammed , hence the jerks.
Mondeo's injectors and audio system are known to be problematic.
Also Mondeos are very very sensitive to the quality of fuel it is fed.

What about the fuel pump? Get your car checked by the service station.

Fuel pump is what came to my mind as well. Mondeo's are notoriously known for bad fuel pumps & they cost quite a bomb to replace I think.

hey dude what comes to my mind is a bad fuel pump or chocked injector's or just adulterated fuel...could be any of them...well if the fuel pump has failed...the car will start with a lot of effort and the the minute u leave the gas pedal a little bit...the engine will cut off...as the fuel stops reaching the enigne...also the same could be because of the injector's...so a visit to the company garage is recomended...! cheer...!!

1. Clogged fuel filter
2. Injectors
3. Failed pump.

All three due to bad fuel quality.

not necessarily the ford mondeo has a problem with its fuel pump...it has a very high failure rate.
