do not confuse me with a boring driver. i am all for performance and high revving but when u see the fuel gauge needle coming down like a rocket, you tend to switch to a more subtle driving style. monetory issues is a....#$%^&.
Hi Amit,
Any updates on getting CNG installed on your Palio. I am also just gonna start researching with the CNG kitwallas in Bombay and see what they advise. Do keep us posted on your latest..
Cheers,

Hi
its no longer a question of if and what but rather a question of when. its a hefty investment of around ~40k and I dont want to put this burden on my parents. So it turns out I am in the process of bounty hunting.
So if anyone here wants to take advantage of a web-developer desperately in need for money for a CNG kit, may kindly contact me

took the plunge. got the kit installed last week.
first of, its better to look at petrol pumps now. i dont get scared of them anymore.
but the car is slow off the line. i mean...SLLOOOWWWW.
how do i get some help here. after 3rd gear, its fine.

also tell me what all to do to make performance better. i am not talking petrol-whipping performance but atleast, something..?
for example, spark plugs positioning etc.
also tell me what difference would a TAP make? would it be absolutely friggin awesome or "dude, where did the money go" kind of thing?

help needed.

Remaps are only available for VAG cars now so forget remaps.

Get A TAP, i always recommended that to you else the Palio 1.2 will remain SLOWWWWWW.
Get a high-flow filter and a cat-back exhaust or a full FFE, will not make a huge difference in performance but you will surely like it as torque would increase, stick to the original diameter of the intake pipe. Colder plugs again definately help CNG combustion so go for Iridiums or Platinums.

But your First priority would be a TAP. It will atleast get you what you had on petrol.

Timing Advancer Program-Electronic device which has presets(usually 3 maps/presets) inbuit maps/programs to advance the timing when the vehicle is running on CNG to increase pick-up of the vehicle and overall performance.
Basically TAP works best in an open loop kit as gas which is, induced through the air-intake is, not regulated(timed). Open- loop works like a carb system, the flow of fuel is constant with air-intake so timing the ignition at a faster rate helps combustion of the gas faster and less is left unburnt.

Isn't a closed loop kit better? How about an closed loop kit with TAP and Lambda Sensor?
