Bluetooth based checking is not reliable because not all phones are properly supported. My Nokia E70 works properly some 50% of time. I have to restart the phone to get it working.

From past 3-4 weeks, my USB is not working. And I am not getting the information displayed on status line, even though buttons seem to work fine. I am yet to try out disconnecting battery. I am a dissatisfied user, as far as B&M is concerned.
They are suggesting the same in my case, they kept my car for yesterday and today. They fitted a new bluetooth device which again didnt work, then another one they put it stays on for a little time but then again it goes blank (They are checking the light in USB). Now the people there are insisting checking the wiring of car, damn its very sad state such new cars have to go through such torture and I here am totally deserted in middle of nowhere without a car.

@ Privin
WHy arent you going to get it checked buddy? The sooner the better?

Today I was asked to take my car from HIM motors paschim vihar, they assured all faults have been corrected on my visit there to collect my car this morning I was shock to see all the same problems of ODO flashing, bluetooth, media player, aux being showed in sources all over again. I was horrified. What kind of service is this. Service manager as well as Fiat personel was shocked. He asked me to leave the car for one more day when it has already been there for two days. I asked the reason for this Fiat personel was just pure rude, I said i want to take my car back and it didnt make any difference to him. I will go to RAMA motors now. Hope they are able to solve the problem.
But i strongly dont refer HIM motors to anyone with a Fiat for service.

Can anyone please give me Email ID of anyone in Fiat who can help me with this problem.

My brother's Punto came with just 1 screw on one of the rear speakers. There should have been three.
Shoddy QC anyone?

Punto Ground clearance

Hi all,

Just curious to know if the ground clearance of Punto is average or below average?

I haven't driven much in other cars to judge the same.
Heard a dull scrape on front right tire side while passing over a sharp speed breaker. But then I was in 3rd gear. The sound is not there when I use 2nd gear to clear the breaker.

The GC should be OK, it's 171 mm for the MJD, slightly lesser for the petrol variant.

If the car is fully loaded, increase the tyre pressure. And go slow over humps - definitely not in 3rd gear.

The sound may have come from those large mudflaps scraping the hump.

Points noted. Will go slow on bumps. Pulsar riding habits die hard.

You got it wrong mate, GC is higher for petrol variants at 173 mm, since MJD is heavier by 45 kg its at 171 mm. But still both have the best GC in the B segment hatches.

Help needed !!

HI all,

I got my New PUNTO 1.3MJD EMOTION on 23rd April, In Bangalore. After coming home only I realized some of these things. So I want to confirm whether the second issue what I mentioned I a Defect or it comes as such from the factory.

1. What is this Knob on both the B-pillars? They moving up-n-down when pulled !

Some quality niggles & Issues in Fiat Punto-dscn4112.jpg

2. This plastic Cladding come on the front to seats towards the Doors, where the seat belt enters into the seat's bottom. The plastic is very soft and loose, and also split! Is this a Defect ?

Congratulations, enjoy your car!

Used to adjust the seatbelt, you can pull the knob upwards or move it downwards, this in turn will adjust the seatbelt, find a position that seems most comfortable to you. Try it when you're wearing the belt, you'll understand.

Mine is the same, probably not a defect however I can't confirm this. Other punto owners, is yours the same ?

Thanks a ton sukrit7 for your answers. Tomorrow I will be going to the show room again for collecting my Number plates, so will ask about the 2nd Question. Will also check with the other cars there.

Its the same in my Linea too.
I have checked other Linea's and found the same.

Everytime, i go to the service centre, they fix it but it comes off after few days.

Not a defect. Its a defective design !

Exactly, its and defective design. The oval shape loses it strength when cheap plastic is used. The same was with the Rear Seats, left most Seat-Belt casing cover(Near the C-Pillar, above the back rest), it was hanging lose after I get the car home from the show room.
