I think you really should contact Hyundai at the higher levels. Forget the dealer, they are not going to cooperate. Go direct to Hyundai and if what we know of them is true, they'll respond so fast the dealer won't know what hit him.

Get your money back, in full, and send a detailed email with reference to this thread to Hyundai.

Relief !! Finally I have internet access and can look up your replies regularly. I'm going to get the booking amount in full refunded to me and I'm going to go to another dealer to order my car. The attitude of the senior employee at the dealership was so rude, she was literally trying to tell me to take my money and take a walk. As of now my priority is my money, followed by ordering my new car. Once that is done, I will let Hyundai know of this incident in detail.

Keep you guys updated about the matter regularly.

Its good to know that you are getting your money back. Once that it done take the whole matter up with Hyundai with minute details and be sure to send them a link to this thread as well. I had heard some horror stories of Shreenath so I guess they are true.

Good luck with the automatic.

What happened ? Have you got the money. I have been reading for a long time and I waiting for progress from your side. I m very curious. Narrate your encounter with that rude senior women.

I would really suggest you to take this subject to the Hyundai. As a hyundaian I would love to see their response. Moreover not everyone complaints to the company this is what really favors these rude dealers.

I was waiting for their response before posting, but since you've asked anyway.

Haven't taken the refund yet. My dad was quite disgusted with the way we were spoken to and treated, and was in no hurry to take that refund just yet. A complaint letter has been sent to Shreenath as well as Hyundai India, and I've already got a call and sms from Hyundai but nothing yet on the part of the dealer. Another one will go soon, if they think they're going to waste a week of my time and get away with it.

True. The equivalent of [i]take your money and get lost attitude on the phone was totally uncalled for.

My advice is simple.

Take back your money first and complaint later. You may not get your full money back.

I will also advise you not to go for another i20. Look at different options.
She had a point. This tells you only one thing that the Quality of i20 is not very high. There is no proper checkup of the vehicle before leaving the factory.

btw Panel Gaps are the Norm in all vehicles nowadays. A Glaring example is the Mahindra Scorpio.

My opinion too. My dad's view differs.

The i20's a fantastic car with fantastic quality. The particular car I was allotted was fishy. I wouldn't be too hasty by blaming Hyundai for this. The car seems repainted and something might have happened on the dealer's end too. If you've followed the thread there was a delay in bringing the car for my inspection. I suspect the delay might have been due to a cover-up job. Almost every other car in the dealer's premises was flawless.

I meant uneven panel gaps. And I'm not willing to accept them.

I totally agree with AbhiJ. This has been repainted and the remnants of the paint can be seen.

Do not drop out i20, it's certainly a fantastic car.

You can trick out by paying a small advace to another dealership as well, who-so-ever brings car earlier and up to your satisfaction will get the deal.

You speaking out of your experience? or just guessing??

Dude... the i20 is one of the BEST made cars in its price bracket today. I would strongly advise you to test drive one.

The i20 which the OP came across being the exception, but I think thats more to do with the dealer, not the manufacturer.
