It's happened to me once when the car was 2 months old---but it went off after about 90 seconds. I called the Ford service advisor and he asked me to ignore it as it was normal. Never happened to me after that.
I also have a pal's Palio for the past 6 months, and I've notice the same issue at least 5 or 6 times. But I am not worried as I found out from Palio owners that it happens normally.

@Chillout it is normal and no defect as Pramod says. We own a Fiesta too and were surprised when we heard it for the first time (didn't happen in our old car) but later found out it is normal for the car. Nothing to worry about.

In my siena the humming sound of radiator fan sounds cool even though the engine is switched off , its normally stays on for a minute or so. if you ask me I love this feature.
