Thanks SirAlec for the info. One brake fluid bottle is 'half liter' or 'one liter'?

Is there anything to watch out for when bleeding the brakes? How do I make out whether the mechanic knows the job?

Its 500ml.

most mechanics would know how to drain and re-fill then bleed to remove any possible air bubbles. this would waste a few drops but its very important to bleed.

Test drive extensively after the brake flush.
