Have you had any communication from Honda directy that they will not change it under warranty? Based on what you mentioned, I think all communication is through the dealer. Most likely, the dealer is trying to get 50% of cost from you (earlier 100%) and then claim the warranty replacement from honda. With 50% goodwill discount, the dealer won't return the old axle to you and as they need that to claim warranty.
I have not had any direct experience with honda cars, but based on my known one's experience, this is very unlikely of Honda (OEM not dealer) to refuse the axle claim on a 25k km's used Accord. Did you check another honda A.S.S yet? |
