Maybe they changed ECU mapping or something in 2011 May/June batches to increase FE. Not sure.
My cars run 1900 kms. I spoke to the Service Advisor at the Service center about this recently he asked me to wait till 3000kms, and another owner I met at a wheel allignment place said the same thing.. Not sure whats the magic with 3000kms.

The engine is slightly more responsive after I got my bumper repainted and they disconnected battery. I guess the ECU reset has helped a bit.

By the way, how much did you pay for the 3D mats? The fit for the front and passenger side mats are pretty snug, but the same cannot be said about the rear one's. Especially for the vento which has an extended wheelbase over the polo, they dont have seperate sets for vento and polo, do they?
I paid 4800 for the 3D Mats. Its expensive but I'm living with a stink for last 6 months in my Palio when rainwater from colleagues shoes spilt in the car and the smell refuses to leave the carpets.

The fit on all 4 mats is perfect and very snug, even the rears fit to a tee.

re: Volkswagen Polo 1.6 - Keeping my 1.6 Stile company. Edit: Now sold!

You meant 3000 kms?

Oh, by the way, the reat fitting issue I mentioned is for the vento not for the polo, since vento has extended wheelbase over the polo, but no seperate set of mats for them. I have the same 3D mats, but the rear fit isnt snug at all as the mats are made for the polo rather than the vento.

Oops yeah sorry, edited from rpm to kms

Yeah I was wondering the samething when I saw that the mats were common for Polo and Vento, was aprehensive that they might be too big but looks like its the other way.

My mat has a tag beneath it saying Polo, if they are giving out the same one then you know it isn't a custom fit.

The shop where I got it from said no, Its only for the polo. I read that you got it shipped? If its a place known to you, can you kindly enquire this for me? Or give me the details that I can call and enquire with them? Thank you very much.

I remember you talking about the VAS features for activation and how the SA was telling you some features werent available for the polo. Please check the following post where the entire feature list is provided for the car. You can take a print out of this and encounter the SA next time

Thanks to bhpian the nomad for sharing this with us.

Never thought I'd be thinking about tyres so soon but had to replace one of the rears after it got sliced while brushing a half open man-hole cover.

Got another C-Drive @ 5.4k

The car celebrated completing 13k kms Name: ghost.gif
Views: 734
Size: 905 Bytes by jumping into a storm drain left open on a turning in a area with no street lights by our wonderful municipality

Damages 39k to replace front bumper , radiator and a/c condenser.

Insurance covered 30k - 9k Depreciation and the rest came out of my pocket.

Time taken was exactly 3 weeks.

Only positive is that VW seems to have a working breakdown service that towed my car at 11:00PM

Did the engine open up now. Recently drove a 2013 Rapid MPI and could very much sense the lag. But I would say the refinement is just not there. A Brio felt much more responsive and faster.

The super light steering feels totally disconnected.
