Personally, if you generally have decent parking, I would avoid getting them installed.
They also eat into your field of vision. Had to get it removed on one of our cars.

Anurag mostly all brands of cars have mirror protectors . I do not see them installed in many cars though . As Lamborghini said it affects the field of view. I guess that's why they are not popular . I'll not install them . I was standing outside the Honda showroom and not even one car had them installed .

hello friends,

Here I am, uploading the pics from my computer.

Great shot friend. The fuel economy figure is also superb. Looks like your driving styling is contributing to this fuel economy figure. May your Amaze continue to amaze you with the fuel efficiency figures...

I agree wholeheartedly. Those who feel bad about it can take comfort for the fact that in places like Germany, Mercs would very commonly be used as taxis! :D So does that reduce the prestige of the brand?

:OT Why to quote about Germany. Many luxury hotels in India, use high end cars as taxi/pick up vehicles. eg a hotel in Pune uses Audi Q5 as a pick up vehicle. Like our mate said, these things are not in our control. So leave it.

I thought sunfilms were still banned, have things changed now?

No changes yet. They are still banned and the police here are still fining owners.

The amount varies with his mood. :) Say from 1000 - 3000.

Anurag.

Hi All,

Yesterday I inquired alloy wheels for Amaze at the Honda dealership. The dealer said that Honda alloys costs a whopping 7.5K per piece and prompted me to get it from outside. Please confirm that If I'm not upsizing, the specs for alloys are:
Wheel Diameter - 14", PCD - 100, width - 5.5".
I searched a lot for the best alloy shop in Bangalore in the TBHP bangalore directory, but all I could find was some tyre dealers. I would really appreciate if anyone could point me to a good alloy dealer in Bangalore, who would also buy back the steel rims.

Sun films are not completely banned. They should have at least 50% visibility.
In Tamil Nadu, I would definitely recommend to have sun films.

Yes. That is true about supreme court order. But some of the celebrities in Chennai filed a case against it because of the unnecessary publicity they get and so, the verdict is on hold I guess.

When I went for sun films, the shop owner said that it was as per rto norms.

When I researched, I reached the conclusion that all that talk by purveyors of sun films is wrong. Without going into the wisdom of banning, it would suffice to say that ANY film applied is illegal. Only the manufacturer can subject to certain conditions have some kind of sun protection built in.

Having said that, 3M has a son control film, albeit expensive, with 90% visibility. Is virtually impossible for anyone to make out that film had been applied.

Can any petrol engine owners post about the mileage they are getting?

Have any one changed their alloy wheels? Or upgraded to a bigger or wider tyres? If so, please post some pics of the same.

I have seen many amaze on road with different set of alloy wheels.

I always thought AC would decrease mileage by around 2kmpl. But in my case it was different.
During my trips with AC on i generally got 18-19 max mileage.
But today weather was nice. I switched off AC and got this.

On return trip again mileage was 18.3 with AC on. I never thought difference would go up to 4-5 kmpl.
In winters I may shoot it upto 30. :D
