NHC - 1 month report

My car is now 1 month old.

Received a birthday gift last night when a passing scooterist hit the left rear view mirror when i was waiting at the Banaswadi ORR signal going towards Hebbal. Boy, was I angry!!!! The guy would have been in deep trouble had i found him after clearing the signal, i can tell you that much. The mirror setting is gone and will have to wait until the next service to get it re-set.

FE seems to be good - even after taking into account possible fuel pilferage - seems to be about 13. Will have to re-check again with full tanks. Filled in 36+4+18 lts and got 758 km until the next filling.

btw, it went for a 1k service and returned; had given the driver 250/- to fill in petrol AND again had to stop in the middle of the night (1 a.m) at KR puram to fill in gas after putting in a really long day at work. Will be calling the dealership to tell them to warn their drivers against petrol pilferage.

Service was regular and got the following corrected :
- rear brake light (inside the cabin) was not working since accessories fitting.
- front left door was rattling and not closing completely
- stains put during accessories fitting on left front door and seat were removed.

Sorry Shantanu, no choice but to get pick-up and drop service. I work in Whitefield and service station is in Electronics city; cant afford to take the day off for the service and cant take the time to fight heavy traffic and jams to and from Electronics city. Distance both ways is 58km.

Why don't you get it serviced at Whitefield Honda ? They give a decent service. Any thing special about Dakshin Honda ?

485km and 37.7 lts = 12.86 "kmph" .......its a typo, it should have been 12.86kmpl......but considering the bangalore traffic, 12.86"kmph" (rounded off to 13) would also be appropriate

NHC - New Honda City

But what's NHB???

hi

My Moms got a Honda CVT. One and a half yrs old. we dont get more than 10.5- max 11 KMPL. Delhi traffic is very bad as well, but yes here ac is on whenever she is driving. I dont know the scene in B'lore.
I am planning to upgrade my car from Wagon R to either the CVT, scorpio, new crdi accent which is being launched in Sept' 06 or the base model of Toyota Carolla. Keeping the fuel price in mind pls suggest what should i do.
