Does anyone know a shop down south (Hyderabad preferably, Chennai or Bangalore are fine as well) who can help me source and install an M-sport front bumper for a non M-Sport 2011 525d. I found one shop in Mumbai but i feel the price is on the higher side for an aftermarket ABS part. My original bumper cracked and couldn't be repaired as i hit a dog on the highway and it has to be replaced. So i might as well replace it M-Sport bumper if it ends up costing the same.

Generally these M sport fittings are sold as full kits. I think that is why if you want just a bumper it may seem too expensive.

Possibly. I don't mind going for the full kit. But i am having hard time finding a shop that could source it and fit it. I am new to Hyderabad so don't have many sources here.

I could get it shipped from Delhi or Mumbai, but if there is any issue with fitment or something else it would be a headache maintaining contact. So if i find some one even in Bangalore or Chennai i could drive down (making it a roadtrip) and get it fixed.

Fitment is generally not 100% with replica body kits. You will need a good bodyshop who can do minor alterations to make it fit perfectly and look good.

You can try fast track car decors on road no 45 Banjara hills. I was there just last night to get some accessories for my 320d and they had the m sport body kit for 3 series in stock. I think they should have the same for the 5 series as well, the owner of the place has a MY16 530d on which he had installed the m sport type body kit (front/back bumper , side fins some other stuff).

I was in the UAE driving one of the most common ship of the desert there, A 2017 Toyota Prado the top end version, Being with family & a 3 year old meant it had to be a SUV & not fast as well! Drove her for good 3000 kms in the span of a couple of weeks and liked it, It was a total commuter & safe car to be in there.





Came back home after weeks with a itch to fire up the 6 cylinder & man, Its been almost 9 months since i have got her & i still look forward to drive it everyday, Such an all rounder the car is!

Sometimes alone in the night & sometime with some company.

Last 1000-2000 kms i have been driving the bimmer on very bad roads, The stretch from Shahpur leading to malshej ghat? Dreadful to say the least, Several factory visits which all lead to the car not rolling the way it should, I instantly knew the alignment and balancing was off, It was almost around 8 to 9k kms since it was done last, Gave a call to trevor from straight line and took an appointment for the next day.



& well i was right, The rear alignment was way way off! Alignment and all the tyres were balanced & she was back to her glory driving just soo beautifully.

For a moment I was wondering what business does a 530D have in such a petty shop. Pardon my ignorance, despite the arrangement is it the quality that takes you to this shop for alignment or the availability?

Guess you are not from Mumbai, All the Bhpians who know this place come down here only to get the job done, The attention to detail and the work done by trevor and the boys is simply great, Plus many exotics visit him often too :thumbs up

Every single time I go to him with my humble civic, I am greeted with something like this:

Time is flying! Its been 10 months since i have got the car & after 20,000 kms, I still have to say, A full blown sedan with a large boot can really make you smile like a maniac while driving it! Might even replace this with a G30 530d after a year maybe?!?!

The final cosmetic add on should be here by weekend which will complete the exterior mod list, Then focus will shift towards the tyres & remap! :D

Last night also checked out my Jetta, She has just done 4k kms since i handed over to my family friend, Used just for the weekend drives, She was shining just like how i left her, Felt great to see her in the top shape.

As the bimmer comes very close to the 40,000 kms mark, The next service would probably change some filters as well along with the engine oil, Also if anyone who does not have BSI & has some one coming down from the US, You can save a good amount in sourcing wear and tear parts like brake pads via someone who is travelling to India,For instance, Front pads for 530d cost 7200 INR there instead of around 20,000 + taxes in INR here, All you need is the part number which can be obtained easily.

Finally the exterior Mod list completes with the installation of the Carbon fibre front lip!

Apparently the only place where the front lip escaped by just a whisker, I have driven 700+ kms since i have it installed, It did not touch or scrap anywhere, Though have to be careful while taking on some steep declines.


I find myself extremely lucky that my business involves atleast once a week out of the city trip & one i do it just for the pleasure! 2 highway trips in a week and i couldn't ask more, If everything goes as plans, Another 1200+ Kms trip would be coming up this weekend. :D

Not yet, However already in talks with a couple of tuners, Perhaps in a month or so.
