The car was parked for a while in the basement and the rats got to work. My gearbox side boot, on the driver side driveshaft got bitten badly and there is grease leak. Have requested for the part and its a week's wait now. So much when the car was lying idle for twenty odd days.

The boot got fixed promptly from the VW service and the car has been doing a lot of running lately due to many Kerala visits. Like I mentioned earlier in the thread somewhere, this combination of size and darting agility really helps in Gods own country with its narrow roads and heavy traffic. I consistently got 13kmpl in mixed traffic conditions on my drives inside Kerala.

From a recent drive to Kozhikode.
