Get the laser lights from the M340i?

Though coming from vento I think the lights are great but the benchmark is too low as vento headlights were hopeless.

Not so easy I believe. US & EU/UK/RoW have very different standards, light fittings and related sensors. India probably gets the UK spec ones.

BMW Laser lights themselves have variable light distribution and High Beam Assist (HBA).The HBA seems to switch on automatically when it senses complete darkness in front, that is easier. Any which way, a change is easy 1L++ coding and kiss bye bye to warranty.

Adaptive LEDs are also awesome like what the F30 3GT has:
For example, Dr. AD's post:
https://www.team-bhp.com/forum/trave...ml#post5230158 (Bangalore to Arunachal Pradesh in a BMW 330i GT)

Another masterpiece of technology in this car is the Adaptive LED headlights. These are way superior to any other lighting system I had experienced, and the night drives were much more fun thanks to these lights. To being with, the high beams are super bright and illuminate the road very well. And then the magic starts when the adaptive function is switched on. The car senses the traffic in front, and automatically chooses selective areas to create dark spots (e.g. it creates a dark spot behind a car moving ahead, if it senses a car in front, so as not to annoy that driver with bright light) and brighter areas (it creates brighter areas on the side so that we still clearly see the road without blinding the front car). It manipulates high beams automatically and dynamically to produce the best results under that specific condition, sensing the traffic all around. It was amazing to see this in action. Of course, it does not always work, especially in Indian traffic conditions. There were times when it did not work as expected. But when it worked, it was amazing. Overall, the 3GT Adaptive LEDs are one of the best in business.

50k and a little more, but totally worth it though. It makes the rear look very sporty. Consider it!

In case you were wondering who this newbie is, this picture should tell you.

I am actually quite happy with the G20 headlights. Compared to the F30 they are phenomenally better but I think the 330i GT experience has made you look for an upgrade. Maybe I am used to the Thar that literally has two searchlights stuck in the front so my delight can be attributed to my humble alternatives.

You are not wrong though in expecting proper adaptive LEDs at this price bracket.

Welcome to the thread!

I'll skip the OEM tips; can do a rear brake pad set & a general service for the same.

Detailing also pending, need to find a good place in north BLR. Any thoughts from anyone?

Was seriously irritated by the rattles from any hard things (water bottles, sanitizers, food items etc.) kept in the door pockets etc., so picked up a set of mats off eBay UK. Reasonable pricing and good quality with quick delivery via Malaysia. Too many 'M's though, please excuse! .

Complete mystery why the G20 (Sport, at least) doesn't come with felt-lined door pockets and interiors. I miss my Octavia, which had high-quality felt beautifully covering all these bits.

Forgive the dusty interiors, need to do a thorough interior clean.

Thanks for sharing all these tips I too have this rattle issue in my X3 and have been doing jugaad fix by wrapping the bottles in microfibers. One question, even with these mats, the bottles will still rattle on the hard side-walls, right?

Read your jugaad earlier I think. You are correct, the taller objects will still rattle - I have changed all the bottles (4) to these. Very happy with them: noiseless due to the silicon sleeve, high quality and easy to open with one hand and drink from when driving.

My family keeps innumerable smaller things (travel sweets tin, personal deo sprays etc. I am hoping these 'floor pads' will cut those rattles down.

Does the Sport and M Sport have identical door pocket layouts and/or storage compartments?

Any idea where these fit into? Mysterious shapes!

Was mystified by another piece! A fellow BHPian put me out of my brain fog, that it was for the rear seat armrest storage compartment which is missing on India-spec G20s.

Also, planning to tell my wife (whose first name starts with M), that these are in her honour. Should have a clear exit strategy planned first though.

The best parking is the one where you can see your beloved vehicle from wherever you've gone to. . Some random shots:

And you say that car has done 24,000 kms already. Amazingly well kept exteriors! That looks showroom new.

Looks as shiny a mirror can be - am sure folks must be stopping by to get their faces & hair done up in the reflection

Haha, as the slightly smutty schoolboy phrase goes, 'good from far but far from good '.

The Mediterranean Blue does a great job of hiding the swirls (and I'm not complaining), but the 3 urgently needs detailing.

Touched 25K last week; the service light is for the rear brake pad replacement due next week.

re: My 2020 BMW 330i Sport (G20) Review | EDIT: 2.5 years & 26,000 km update on page 28

Carried out the rear brake pad change at 2 years/5 months & 26K km at Deutsche Motoren today. The range was down to an alarming 120 km . I was stressed about the discs getting scored, but happy to say there were none.

Total cost was ₹23K. Front pads are okay for ~15K km more and discs in good shape too. Excellent service, in and out in 2 hours flat. Parked next to a magnificent Aston Martin Lagonda as well.

Took longer to get home due to the Metro work on the ORR and torrential rain! The 3 got a thorough underbody wash, something the NGT has been disallowing the authorized service centers to do.

Some pictures follow. One hawkeyed Mod in particular (you know who you are ) had noticed that my 330i had lost it's 'i'. The same was safely in my wallet and fixed back as well.
