A few thoughts:
Around 4-5 hours / ~250 km away from BLR depending what time you leave and from where.

Good roads except for the last 10 km and a shady patch near Hassan. Intermittent roadworks ongoing between Hassan and Sakleshpura with a real risk of head-on collisions. Be ultra careful. Ghat section (~10 km) under massive realignment and best to chill there too.

Not recommended for kids as there is a real scare of leopard attacks. In fact the management makes you sign a solid disclaimer that you will stay within 'lit' pathways after 1800, and not venture out without a guide and prior permission between 1800 - 0600.
In fact, walking to-and-fro dinner itself from our solitary bungalow was an adventure! Didn't help that we two were the only guests that day/night.

They are not pet-friendly either as they steadily lose their pariah dogs to various wild animals!

Idyllic property better suited to couples and close groups wanting to chill. Their approach is very eco-friendly and more for the solitude and nature-loving or birder crowd rather than noisy 'party' groups.

Excellent service and hospitality.

Carried out my long-pending 4Y@37K km service at KUN Bellary Road. Excellent experience and very professionally handled by Mr. Rahul & Mr. Shyju. A couple of calls by @santoshbhat also helped

Issues reported by me:
Rubbing noises from the sunroof when in tilt mode and a intermittent electrical contact on the right side of the horn pad. Both seem to have been corrected but will loop back later on this.

Consumables used:
5.5 litres of BMW TP LongLife01 FE 0W-30 (https://www.bmw.in/en/topics/offers-...30-1000ml.html
Oil filter set + screw plug
Air filters x 2: (Mahle and Valeo made in France and Romania)
Spark plugs: Replacement came up on the Service (TIS?) screen and costed around 9K extra. Same were of BMW own make (as per the box) and made in France. OEM ones were of BMW / Champion make.

AOB:
No Service Recalls were noted for my VIN and no software updates either. I declined their washing services and also WA/WB. Nothing was 'pushed' on me which was great. Discussed at length about fuel additives and explained that I have used only XP95 for the last few years and faced zero trouble. Maybe will try a tank-full before the next long drive.

Costs & time:
A total of INR ~37K was very reasonable and frankly was a little nervous being my first service outside my BSI pack.
Was in and out within 2 hours flat, and even got some solid work done in their waiting area.

38K km up and not much to report apart from the sheer enjoyment delivered by this lovely machine

RWD and relatively slim 225/50/17s means a lot of wiggles and slides even with the TCS on. Put the TCS off, goose it on an u-turn and it will easily lose traction and slide even on hot tarmac in summer. Remarkable control offered though even to newbies like me; pretty easy to opposite lock and come out of it.

On another note, the Michelin PS4s are not up to expectations and are definitely sliding around more than the OEM Turanza RFTs. Now either I’m driving too hard nowadays (likely) or the PS4s are ageing fast (equally likely)!

Did a tyre tread check using my Michelin tread wear gauge. Sitting in the driver seat:

FL: 5.7-5.9
FR: 5.7-5.8
LL: 4.6-4.7
LR: 6.7-6.9 (new tyre about 2K old)

How to rotate now is the question.
