Hi,

First of all, thank you so much for such detailed updates. In your view, do you think the mercedes service package and extended warranty are worth buying?

Apologies for the delayed reply.

Service Package: I'm not sure if this is worth it. In my head it is basis the distance you expect to do in the car and the driving style. For comfortable sedate driving, not sure how much value is the service package. For me, I expected a brake pad change every 15K (its almost 3 years now), but even at 25K+ the brake still seems fine!

Extended warranty: A must! PERIOD

Hey Abhilash it has just been a month into my GLE 300d ownership, was wondering if you got the speed chimes removed. If yes, does it have an effect on the manufacturer warranty.

Great Review, was really helpful when my Dad and I zeroed down in on the
GLE 300d

Cheers

Thank you Nikhil, unfortunately due to the stringent pricing regulations brought in by MBIL CEO Santosh Iyer there were absolutely no discounts.

Managed to save some on insurance and negotiate on few accessories such as floor mats and the mercedes orvm hologram.

For further information please feel free to PM me

Cheers

Hi Cliff, Congrats on your purchase!

I haven't removed the speed chimes yet. From what I have understood, it is a 10 min affair. Didn't actively pursue removing, as I run into it infrequently.

My rationale is that a 120 limit is a safe limit on our highways, and I was ok with this chime keeping me below it.
