Congrats Anshuman on your new purchase. Would like to know the waiting period for the delivery of your car.

congrats anshuman, love the colour. I was too impatient to wait for the colour of my choice. i just told the dealer to give me the first car available. I had to get my hands on the engine. I'd have gone insane from the anticipation if I'd had to wait another 3 months.

BTW- nice elantra. is it on sale soon?

1500 km update-

After living for a week with the car i have some more comments.

1- The engine is very smooth now,its hard to tell if its a diesel at low revs with the blower on,absolutely love the refinement.

2- I did not check the fuel consumption again but the car sips very slowly.

3-The rattles are coming in slowly, the rear right door and the trunk door
are already showing signs, plastics are very poorly put together.

4-Ride with 16 inchers is still OK.

5-The car is so much fun around every curve, but tyres scream a lot.

6-Brakes are nervous under emergency braking with the car swerving(even with ABS).

7-AC struggle a bit and does not chill like my elantra on a 42 degree centigrade afternoon.

8- The car is very tight at back row, space is very limited.

interesting! you're running 205/55 R16, and the brakes feel nervous?
what speeds are you doing? and what tyres are they?

Tires are Goodyear NCT5,and i had to brake very hard on highway twice at speeds of around 100 and 110 kmph.

Ugh, the build !
Every time you think you are gonna love the car you see the dents...lean against it a bit hard, kids throw the ball, kids bang against it while playing, and there you have them.
If ever there was a prize for the "DENTIEST !" car , this would be it.
My car is parked in a covered parking, well inside, there is nary a scratch when driving but whaddya know...dents, dents dents.
maybe I am spoilt by my erstwhile Palio, man that was a tank !
The suspension clangs, the dashboard rattles, the seats squeak, the windows work loose, the doors too rattle. The only silent thing in this car is ME

Goodbye Swift

After 28k kms of ownership the car was exchanged with Punto last month, the ownership experience of the car was awesome with no visits to Service centers except routine service. The car came as a breath of fresh air as it replaced Indica DLS as my secondory car.The maintainance costs were very low and the car proved to be very reliable and extremely fuel efficient with peppy performance.

For anybody looking for a peppy, efficient and fun to drive car in this price range,i would always suggest for the Swift VDi,grab last of the euroIII stocks.

Ownership Experience-(Tara,Abohar punjab) 9.5/10

Aftersales service-(Pasco gurgaon) 8/10
Performance 8/10
Interiors and Equipment 6.5/10
FE 9.5/10
Handling 8.5/10
Ride 6.5/10
Fun Factor 9/10
Overall experience 9/10

Seems that you are still missing your Swift after owning Punto.
