Annas - this is my understanding. I may be completely off the mark.

joecherian asked him why he didn't went for an LX rather than an EX.
To which GodsOwnWheels said the "EX" cost 905000 OTR before the LTT increase.
GOW actually wanted the VX but it was above his budget plus he wanted to customise the ICE and therefore he went in for the LX.

If a Safari LX 4x2 costs above 9 in Bangalore, I'm with nitrous in being shocked.

Congrats on the Safari. A huge upgrade indeed . Now please post some pictures. I thought the famous krr sound reported on this forum was gone from the current lot of Safari's. Surprised to hear that you still have it. My Safari (July 08 Manufactured) has a sound while on high throttle but the krr sound is definitely not there.

Cheers and do keep us posted on the ownership experience.

Wow, thanks buddy. The LX price has increased by another 17k through LTT (Assuming this prices include the extended warranty too)

Hmm, sorry for that confusion, the price mentioned was for LX (EX with 4X4 for 11.25lakhs lacked ABS& AB,not optional too) and now you can rightfully be shocked.

The prices which I'm talking about is for LX. EX was around 10.5 and EX with 4X4 for 11.25

Sorry for the confusion. I bought a LX which doesn't have 4X4. It was a compromise. Which means another upgrade is on the cards.

The photos are loooong over due!

It is sad that the version with ABS & Airbag is prices at 13.3 laks!!! The 4x4 base version is priced at 11 odd laks!

Hope TATA goes the Honda way and makes ABS & Airbag standard across variants!
Thanks. I wished for a LX version with 4X4 , ABS and AB within 12lakhs. Was that too much to ask for??

Thanks. Suddenly our roads become more acceptable.
