That again is exactly why the break in period is. It's like arranged marriage. Take it slow and steady till you get comfortable. lol

Thanks Pranava, Pradster, NeoTraveller, Bite the Bullet , Redef, - The wait is now worth it as i can see some "poetic geniuses" coming out in TBHP . I liked the "Chica Italiana" thing and thats what i am calling it from today .

btw the Dealer is Fortune Cars (New Bombay). and i have written a strongly worded mail to All relevant people at FIAT / TATA and got a Typical apology Reply.

I have completely relaxed myself now and am doing no follow-ups just enjoying the wait for ma chico italiano .

Congrats on your purchase!

But I beg to defer to what others' have suggested. If they are delaying the delivery, I think you have the right to avenge. Do not go when the car is ready for delivery. Delay your pick up and keep them waiting with the car. Should serve them right.

What say everyone?

Now we know what you are upto when you are out on slow, night time cruises?

P.S : I am presuming your handle is in tribute to the western and not just another use of the phrase? ( this is based on your avataar)

A very bad idea!

You never know what they might do to the vehicle. And if you do not pick it up soon, they might just give it to the next person who comes!!!

Just make a mail and send it to the fiat club. What is the date mentioned now? Go down to the showroom and talk to the GM or someone who is able to give you the details of when the vehicle was shipped and the ETA. And do not buy the crap if they say sharing that info is against their policy!

Fast love - congrats firstly

avoid the underbody treatment stuff. i dont think it adds ANY VALUE

as for the rest, trust me, you can do all of this in the after market at a competitive rate

please remember that dealers would want to offer a lot of these add ons because it adds to their overall margins per car. you can always do your research at ease and keep adding these one by one

who...me???

i'm a clean, wholesome, good, god fearing, loving....(someone help me out here, i'm running out of adjectives!!!) happily married man, only out to give friendly advice to my eagerly waiting fellow linea (to be) owner.

that has to be some sort of a record for the longest sentence recorded on tbhp... applause all!

about the handle, i owned a royal enfield bullet - i owned a fiat - i own a tata... i went on to own another fiat... i plan on owning yet another royal enfield machine. what more can i say???

drive safe and stay sane my man.

My Chica italiano has arrived at the StockYard. Now is the last part of the process i hope. The price increase of 15 k for emotion pack is being passed on to me. I argued with the Head at the Dealership and got a 50% waive off on the price increase (effectively instead of 15k i will pay 7.5 k extra). I also tried to convince him to give me some freebies to compensate the 7.5k but it didnt fly :( so i have settled the invoice with them now. So hopefully, i should have my chico italiano with me day after tomorrow

and a big thank you to all of you for your wonderful ideas and suggestions . i will surely have themn in my mind while taking the delivery . Thanks again friends !
