please replace this if possible. IMO that wood finish is now 15 year old style. something in dark (shade of black)walnut wood or aluminium or carbon fibre will do justice.

Congratulations! wonderful color

Congratulations! Interesting to see that you also have a tilted intercooler protection plate. Some things never change from 2008 to 2009

center console suggestion

@Lukeskywalker - budy your black storm looks good. a further suggestion to the center console look at the picture of interior of Acura TL(I had taken this picture in an Auto Show). see the dark shade of wood finish. that is what I am suggesting.

BHPians - is it hard to procure or get these manufactured in the shade we like?

When i was Td'ing it few months back i noticed the brakes weren't too strong and when done sudden braking the car was losing balance, is this with your safari as well?
Last night whilst on the way back from the puja one manic auto almost rammed the safari, first time I experienced the ABS at work in a panic situation, wet roads and vehicle stopped in a straight line rock steady. But, I've driven it too less to actually comment on the pros and cons of it's braking capability.

@ Smsrini and The VTEC guy
As far as the centre console goes, the picture is after I tried some autographix stickering to change the shade from a very dirty yellow wood finish to the current rose wood finish, not happy with either, will ask them to just give me the silver finish fascia.

Congrats on the Car. Safari looks imposing in Black and IMO you should get the cladding in the black as well.
BTW are allows standard on the GX? So what is difference between GX and VX?

Please don't do that - this Black & Silver combo is a killer!

  • Airbags
  • DVD Player with 2 screens
  • Reverse view camera
  • Full leather
Any others I've missed out?

So basically only thing one misses out on GX is the airbags as reverse view camera has been replaced by parking sensors.

I had a chance to sit in the Black Storm yesterday and had a small drive. This is the first time I am sitting inside the Safari. Great experience. I felt like a King !

After the drive when I tried to open the door, felt like its heavier than whole of my little Sparky

Absolutely beast of a car !

Congrats Hari

Other than the additional cost, you don't have the 2 tone colour in the VX.
Alloys are standard for all 4x4 safaris.

Congratulation Hari, 4x4 Safari sure is picking up. Dual tone colour looks good as suggested by others also.

GX has a Leather/ Fabric combo seat.
GX has Alloy wheel as standard, 4x4 or not.

Many congratulations!
Im always pleased to see a 4x4 Safari and yours looks wonderful. I hope you enjoy its potential to the fullest. Id say keep the dual tone. Apart from looking wonderfully different, that light golden colour doesnt look dirty very easily.

Cheers,
J
