Friends yesterday got installed Michelin Primacy LC tyres 225/60R/15.
Will update with pictures shortly. One can easily feel the difference.
The ride is more stable and smooth and I feel the car drives lighter after the change of tyres.

I'm quite turned off by the Fortuner's waiting period and was thinking of getting an Innova GX and modding the interiors. Although the two captain seats in the middle row are good, they are short on thigh support.
I have seen the kit that DC provides for 4.5 lakhs, it's brilliant but a little too much for my needs. I'd just like to replace the two captain seats with bigger ones that recline with a foot rest.
Any suggestions for interior modders besides DC that can give high quality fittment.
No..not planning any interior mods..though might think about pete's at a later date. The reason I did not buy the 7 seater is

A. Thigh support seemed less than the 8 seater in the midle row
B. if you have 5 persons and some luggage..very difficult to accomodate in case you have to lift the rear seats to create space
any clue about the HID aftermarket fitments for innova

Guys

The fabric of the seat covers are very prone to dust and will get dirty easily, any suggestions which kind of seat covers should I go in for leather or fabric. Is there any place where I can get the exact pattern and fabric as the original one's are.Everyone's suggestion are welcome.

3.i'll be getting the ipod interface this week. Will then confirm the prices.
4.No ice mods as of now.

What ipod interface did you get? Where from? How much did it cost to install? and who did the install for you?

Sorry too many q's but I am completely flummoxed with the choices to interface ipod to a stock radio.

Congrats!

Braveheart, Congratulations on Ur Innnova Vx. I, too, am about to buy the same model and probably the same color. A small favor please- could u mail me the details of the I-pod Interface, it's price and where is it available?

Also, Do U think the stock speakers are adequate or do we need an upgrade?

Hi Puffdamgcdragon

Congrats,You are going to buy one of the finest vehicles in the country.

As for my listening preference the sound of stock speakers is adequate but it's a matter of personal choice.

There is a fellow member, Haneet in New Delhi from whom I sourced the Ipod interface.
Kindly check your e-mail for his contact number.

One suggestion if you can upgrade the tyres to michelin primacy lc 225,the vehicle will perform even better.

Rgds

Thank U BraveHeart. I had a tough time deciding between the Safari and the Innova. Ultimately the superior quality and reliability won the day. Am holding back my purchase waiting to see if there are any significant changes in the BS4 version due anytime soon. Also, have to sell off my 5 year old Baleno to make up for the price of the innova. Don't want to take another loan.

Please put up pics of the I-pod interface, the Interiors ingeneral as well as the new tyres. U did change them, didn't U?

Did ya consider Pete's?

Hi Puffdamgcdragon

Ipod interface's pictures can't be taken 'cos the box is kept under the gearbox unit and only the connecting wire to the ipod is visible. You can also see the folder number and the text of the song on the oem music system.

If you visit previous pages of this thread i have posted the pictures of interiors and the michelin tyres.

My Innova has covered 15000 since i bought it and don't feel the need of installing pete's or you can say that never driven a vehicle installed with pete's so never considered it.
