Re: YAPT - Yet Another Punto Thread

Long time no see huh...

The car has clocked 38000 KMs in just under two years.

Here are some updates.
1. Went for V-Kool sunfilm including the windshield.
2. Changed GT3s to Michelin Primacy LC + Nitrogen etc. Car has gone silent since then. Grip level is excellent. I wish I had changed the tyres right on day 1.

Other maintenance:
1. Apart from regular servicing, A.C. compressor & wiper motor was changed under warranty recently (no questions asked).
2. No rattles from the body whatsoever.
3. Rubber beading etc holding onto the body frame nicely

Kitna deti hai??

City (Heavy traffic) - 13-14 KMPL
City (Light traffic) - 16-17 KMPL

Highway (Heavy foot) - 17-18 KMPL
Highway (Light foot) - 20-21 KMPL

Tyre pressure I maintain
Daily city drive - 30
Highway drive - 32

Ownership experience has been mixed so far. Unlike some people may claim, I have never faced an issue with spare parts availability. Fiat has delivered the parts in less than a week's time after placing the order on both the occassions. Having said that, TASS service hasn't been upto the mark for whatever reasons. But the car is so good, I don't mind spending a couple of days full of frustration @ TASS.

All in all another happy Punto owner. I am glad I took an informed decision two years back and bought Fiat GP.

Re: YAPT - Yet Another Punto Thread

Hearty Congratulations...

Wonder why we are forced to choose between the two. Mind or Heart.

A car that changed the fortune of the company could not be sold to the Indian customers. Are we not able to appreciate the gud things around. Are we tough customers?

So many comments about the fate of fiat. Do we have top 5 things that Fiat has to do to rejig its fortune here.

Looks: Italian Styling - No one had issues.
Quality: Heart of the Car is like to Kohinoor. Everyone else seem to benefit except the inventor. Interior and panel gaps to be address
Features: Blue & Me, Auto AC, Steering Controls, ABS, Air Bag - What more is required

Price: If only fiat drops the price by 1 to 1.5L across models, will it increase the sales by 50%?

Service: 3 Yr Zero Cost Maintenance and not sure whom should the tie up be

Liked the comparison to Mastercard ad. Happy Driving

Interior Pictures please ....
