Kishore, so what you are ending up paying for dents for <1yr new car, I am ending up in detailing;-} BTW, how come so many dents?

Did you get what you wished for your Ikon? or, Ikons are a dodo nowadays becos of figo/shigo rampage?

Gilead, there is no con-job here...after all, a Ford hand give'th & another Ford hand take'th...it is all in the family, u see!!

OT: It seems the eternal quest for finding a good dent repair/paint shop is going to be fulfilled. In all these t-bhp madness, I completely forgot that one of my friend who currently owns an ikon 1.3 Flair, frequents a very trusted mechanic shop (for him at least) on Greams Road near the Post office/telephone exchange/Appolo Hosp. Last week some garbage truck hit him from behind and the rear was apparently disfigured completely..so much so that the lid was not closing and he had to drive with open boot for 1 full day...MPL qouted 18K (he was on the way there for servicing when this mishap happened) and since this is a 2004 model, insurance was of not much help. The mechanic shop got it done below 7K. From the finished job I could not make out any difference whatsoever but am not sure how much work was involved since had not seen the damage personally.

Planning to repair my 2 very minor dot dot type dents on left rear door and one deep 2" scratch on the left C pillar of rear windscreen thru this shop. Let me see how it goes.

Sanjay, you caught me there!

The left side - I touched a bike (which was in parallel to the car) while taking reverse;bike fell on Fender and both the doors. Not major dents. Only if you care to notice i.e. OUR eyes basically.

Right side - A under aged moron driving a HH Passion hit the car. Again, small dent but didn't want to have it un cared for.

Ikon - There's a twist in the Sale story. TVS Pre-owned cars found a buyer and they transferred the money for the Chevy Spark (Both under TVS Group). Even after a month the name transfer didn't happen. When I enquired, they told that the car is still with them. The buyer paid 80K advance and now doesn't want the car it seems!! Gotta check this week if they found a buyer.

2nd Service Charge issue - CF mentioned that the 6 months period has passed so the coupon is not valid. Nice explanation. But I won't have it. I was just one week out of the 6 months period. Said my car won't visit Chennai Ford again ever. Now they agreed.

Fiesta Gauge Test, View DTC Code etc.

If Fiestians are interested to do a gauge test and view if their car has any DTC warnings, press the Trip meter reset button and start the car and press the trip meter button to view different codes.

The car crossed 40K Kms this month & would be completing 5 years this December. Happy? Hell, yes!
