Hi Ashish,

Congratulations!

We met yesterday and I rediscover this thread today. I had skimmed through this thread earlier but did not pay much attention. However today as soon as I saw this it jumped out as I was able to relate to it on a personal level. I believe that is the purpose of the TBhp meetings and that sure is desire-able. Hope to see you with your ride again soon.

Just for info. Even the HE model comes with ABS as standard.

BTW, Congrats for your almost new Corolla.

For sure, this is one of the major reasons.

Today morning while refilling I calculated the FE, Figure came out something like this

155 Kms in 200 Rs (9.14Kg) of CNG = 1.29 Rs/Km or 16.95Km/Kg (100% AC @ thanks to Delhi Heat)

I am simply in-love with my decision of being on CNG this time too, Actually I am loving it !!

Hey ASH, when did you install CNG on your Corolla? A short review on that would be great.

CIVIC query

Congrats for the sweet deal!

I have query though. Did your car on CNG still returns decentish performance? Also, had you gone for the CIVIC, would you have still gone for the CNG option.

Your inputs can influence my decision. I am in the market for a used CIVIC but due to my exorbitant usage it may turn out to be very expensive to run. Will it be a good idea to turn it to CNG? Your review on your CNG run COROLLA will be of great help.

Abhi.

We've got both the cars in the family - A Civic and a Corolla, both running on CNG with the Sequential Injection system. The ECU has been imported from AG and the Injector Rail & Fitment by Navnil Autogas. The Civic gives an average of 1.7 Kmpl (Running in the 90% in the city and 10% on the Highway with AC On 100% of the times) and the Corolla does 1.4 Kmpl (Strictly 90% highway driving and 10% City driving with AC on 100% of the times). So far no problems. The only 'Service' required is cleaning the air filter every 5-6 months. I'd say you cant find a better deal, considering CNG is easily available in your town, which actually is the case in Ahmedabad.

So there you go @ Abhi_Automobile - Its a Go Green from me purely out of experience.

@ Ash : Sorry to hijack your thread mate. Just felt I'd double you on the Go green, Save the Planet move.
