First car I saw was Ritz and found no big different from its brother Swift. When noted in Figo, found rear leg room bigger next to Vista. 3 Adults cannot sit comfortably in the rear seat of Figo for longer drives but all three get good leg room.

There is too much pending to be put here. I do log in, but do not reaaly have the patience to neatly put things the way I want them.

Righting this in a netbook from Valliyoor, 40 kms from Nagercoil. Here for my family temple festival!

Will update soon. The averages are encoraging for a mix of town and highway driving.

Hi,

This is a typical town run. This is a relatively longer town run.

This is the tuition run to pick my daughter up at around 0745hrs. She is dropped off at 0630. 2.9km.

This is the run to pick her up:

This is the way back home:

Posting here as it was taken from the Figo.

Hi,

The first three days of the week were spent in testing the Figo for mixed conditions which included the above tution runs as well as school runs.

The tution runs were 5.8km daily twice for 3 days = 34.8km. The temperature does not come upto normal cruising temperature during the tution runs (only upto 73 degree C vs 83 degree C). I will take the school distance that I used for Manza (there is a slight difference between the odometer readings between them, but I have not checked the actual difference) and that would be 63.2 kms and three days would be 189.6 kms.

34.8 + 189.6 would be 224.4 kms. But the refuelling was done with the odometer reading since last refuel at 223km. 13.17L used with a mileage of 16.93kpl.

Surprise! Figo better than Manza (check post in that thread)!

Since it is a strain to keep track of distances like this, I am just going to enjoy these vehicles!

Is it anything like highway conditions on the school trips? That is good F.E. Thanks for the updates.

EDIT: read about the road on manza thread

I was lazy and did not want to repeat the same words.

Now I will try to run the same car for all tution and school trips and check the mileage.

How would the mileage be? I may not take a full tank right now and would be doing more in this week.

The last fuel fill gave a 16.83kpl. I will be filling the tank only on Friday / Saturday. So far it has a Changanacherry run and a Cherthala run under its belt.

Let us see how it is eventually?

The tution and school runs in the Manza is continuing. Right now the console shows a 17.5kpl figure.

Hi,

I did a trip to Ernakulam today.

Let the images speak: (the images show tripmeter and DTE readings)

The odometer read 3485km at the start from home.

This is at Trinity Crest Apartments at Edappally Jn via the byepass.

This is back at home with odometer at 3620km.

The return journey became a mess with me deciding to take the South Overbridge. It was a crawl for a long time near it.

Again I turned off the NH47 near Alleppey, forgetting that it was school leaving time.

It took almost 2 hours for me to reach Alleppey from essentially the north end of MG Road, Ernakulam to my house in Alleppey.

Bare facts: 135km, with DTE falling 96kms for the whole journey.

But see the first and second images, the DTE appears almost same. Incidentally after the last fill the DTE reading was 699!

I have another trip tomorrow, but though long distance is not going to be a pure highway trip and will involve interior roads.

Hi,

I had to go to Kaduthuruthy yesterday. I went via Thanneermukkom bud, Vaikom and came back via Ettumanoor, Kottayam.

The roads beyond Vechoor junction were a joke. Dry craters, water filled ponds / craters, muddy tracks and what not!

I have to give it to Figo, it completed the drive without complaints. I did scrape once more due to my haste for getting there in time for a function.

Sine I had to leave my daughter at her school in Champakulam in time for a class, I forgot my own principles, and drove helter skelter on the way back. 68.5 kms in 90 minutes.

The car after the drive:

Now for a fuel update:

I was suing the Figo mainly for longish use the past few days. Changanacherry, Cherthala and a trip to EKM. In the Ernakulam trip, I was forced to go to MG Road area and I was stuck in a good traffic jam in Chittoor Road.

At the end, 256 kms with 17.23L of diesel giving 14.86kpl. A little disappointing!

I have not filled the tank after yesterday's mad drive!

Thanks.

The compressor is apparently the same as in the Fiesta and indeed is very good.

But please note that our high temperatures here are in the range of 36-37 only. But it has fared well even in the near 40s in Southern Tamil Nadu.
