Cute little Silverado Arrived :: i10 Sportz AT

i10 Automatic (AT) Sportz, 2011 model (as the book says) :-), Silver with kappa2 engine.

We got the i10 Sportz delivered on 27th evening. Overall the process went well. The waiting period was just 8 days. We got it through M/S chandra Hyundai. I went along with my family, around 6PM, and the vehicle was parked readily. It took another 1 hr to inspect, get documents all final sing ups.
My wife received the keys, as the car is for her. The day gave me a nostalgic moment, the day we received our Santro in 2002 at the same spot.

It was raining outside, and the drive was smooth. We reached back home bt 9, due to heavy traffic.

On road cost was Rs. 5,80,200. I got a a set of floor mats, Gareware sun control, Autotronic remote lock + panic alarm and A new pair of Roots horn. They are also offering a full covered floor mat, which will come by next week.

I will require to replace the stock bulbs 55W immediately, any recommendations are welcome. I do not want to go for HID.

Today i added a IND number plates Rs.1300/-

Yet to get the details about the extended warranty, I would like to go for it whichever the price might be.

My wife likes Auto, But One thing I didn't like is the Break pedal position. Its positioned too high, and even being a tall person, I feel the pain much at the bumper-to-bumper traffic. Is there anything to do about it? Any suggestions are welcome.

I went for the loans at Kotak (Variable), Its hassle free, and if anyone lives around Chennai, Coimbatore, Erode, Tirupur etc, You may PM for some easy contacts. I can help you.

Thanks for everyone who helped us to choose this car. (http://www.team-bhp.com/forum/hatchb...tic-hatch.html), It was a nice experience this October.

I will post my reviews later.

Its time for some pics:

Congrats on your purchase dude. Remember not to floor the pedal in the initial run in period. And also later if you want to control the FE. Drive safe. You can see my thread about my experiences with my Magna AT. 5,800 kms done and nothing to complain. Enjoy.

Really like i10 for its gear location-very comfortable. Somehow it feels like part of dash and looks trendy.

Do update about AT driving experience(pleasure)

yes, I will. But you know, I removed 8 times, AAnalamalai agencies, even replaced with my www.sitename.com, in my Aveo, requested everytime to not do stick their name, But they repeatedly, finally I's given up.

I love to do upsize (any recommendations) and add alloys, But my wife warned me to not to do it at least for next few months. :-(

Sales guys said, they see some marginal increase in FE with Kappa2 AT, But I do not expect more than 8 within the City. But I see the gear shift ratio is not bad. I will update FE report after sometime.

Yes, AT is fun. But As I said, I am too tall for this Car's break pedal. I get the pain within 3-4 Kms of city drive. It reminds me my Santro days.

Wow ! I just got my new i10 K2 Sportz AT with only floor mats :( Here in NCR, the dealers are not providing any freebies....or maybe I just went to the wrong dealers.

If I get aftermarket remote lock, will I void warranty ? For stock bulb replacement (non HID), I would suggest Philips Xtreme (60W) unless you want to fix 100 W with relays.

Upsize soon as you won't get any buyback value for your old tyres.

Don't expect any increase in the F.E. All this Kappa, Kappa2, VTVT, iRDE, iRDE2 all are humbug, very soon they'll come out with the Theta in the i20 to replace the Gamma . Just enjoy the effortless drive, trust me, it'll totally relax & de-stress you in Bumper to Bumper Urban Traffic.

Checked the FE roughly.

34 liters of petrol (no speed or extra premium) gives 320 Kms. So, around 9.4 kms.

Never exceeded 80 kms, 100% city drive, never pressed the pedal hard. very gentle driving, 100% AC on, most of the time during the rains on very very bad roads. At an average speed of approx. 25-30 Km/hr.

Never used L2 or OD stuff in the Auto selections.

Any one knows exactly when to use L2, 2 and OD. It was not a surprise when the sales people were not sure about them.

Congrats. Are they offering the Asta AT in blue? I thought there were 2 shades of blue but website does not show it.

FE kinda low but hopefully should improve.

There is a blue, but the sales guys said they didn't get even one. I never seen one in road too. So I hope there is now blue variant.

Congrats. I really like the look of the new i10, as compared to the other version

I am assuming the auto runs on four gears right?
