I would also like to know what is the exact month/year of manufacture for my ANHC V AT. I bought the car in Sept. 2010. I am not aware of where to the get the VIN from and how to interpret it. Any help please?

Joshinm...
please tell me your VIN number. If you bought your car in sep 10 and if it was manufactured in Sep then your VIN number should be

MAKGM263JA( Engine Number )

263 cause its a VAT
otherwise it would be 253

Which model did you get sgiitk. Did you upsize your tires. I have seen your posts on the Honda City in various forums.
EA is indeed May 2010. I is excluded from the months.

Many congratulations on your new car, Lemon. Keep us posted about the tyre upgrade. I would be interested to know the fuel consumption/ mileage post the upgrade.

Congratulations Lemon, Hope my inputs were helpful to you.
Olympia Honda is aware of T-BHPians and the check list.
2 months ago I trained them and they were proactively receptive and cooperated well.
In fact some of them learned a lot from my buying experience.
Olympia is the only dealer who has covered storage for the new cars (other than Kun BMW show room).
This made a huge difference to me when I saw the new cars in their 3rd floor yard.
I found Olympia to be more cooperative to deal with than Sundaram and Capital, basically they were amicable while the others were arrogant or had an attitude in that order.
Regarding the tyre upgrades, please be aware that Honda will void the warranty on suspension and other related components.
I too wanted to upgrade but gave up as I could get Michelin XM1 as stock tyres and did not want to jeopardize 4 year/80K warranty.
Besides I am not a regular highway rider.
Please upload some better photos of the car without the garbage surrounding it.
Any other accessories planned other than tyre upgrade?

Thanks Habenero,

I found Olympia outstanding in terms of service. My hats off to them. They did a splendid job with the paperwork, everything was taken care off and delivery was down to the T. I was really very very impressed.
Surendran was the person i dealt with and Sunder Rajan took care of the delivery, the registration and all the other stuff.

It meant a lot that the car was not lying under the baking Indian sun for a whole month covered in 2mm of soot and dust. In fact when I went to do the PDI, she was looking fresh and smelling good.

Guys, I have to tell you I am really enjoying the ride and keep finding the silliest of excuses to take her out.
About the tyre upgrade, if its going to be more comfortable then i would risk the warranty thing. I will however keep my fingers crossed on everything being alright. I will post some excellent pics with a DSLR shortly.
