And about that long drive to complete the run-in: make sure you vary the RPM, and do not drive in a constant RPM for more than a few minutes during run-in.
Thanks and noted.

Thanks. I know the mudflaps are crappy and i hate them. FIAT is coming out with the moulded mudflaps in the coming months. Will throw these temporary ones away and fix the moulded ones.

I find it astonishing to see people selling off their otherwise brilliant cars like FIRE Linea, MJD Linea for the Jet. Some Dude has sold off his Civic for a T-Jet! This is super exciting!

Ok guys, here is the news. I just sold of my '09 Corolla and Booked a T-Jet at Concorde. After attending the Aero India show I am now waiting to fly my Civilian Jet!
Thanks Counsel. Congrats for the Tjet. It's a pleasent surprise that a Toyota owner switching loyality to FIAT. Great !

I can assure you, once bitten by the FIAT bug, you will always remain a FIATian.

Mind sharing how much you sold your FIRE for ?

And Counsel, congrats on your booking too. From a Toyota to a Fiat. That is something one does not come across very often, especially in our country.
Thank you. I lost 30 percent on depreciation. I struggled to get a buyer for the petrol Linea as Chennai is a Diesel market. That too, with the prices going up, it was tough.

I am happy with the resale value as it is marginally lesser than a 1.5 year old Honda City or petrol SX4.

An ad in the Hindu did the job for me.

Congratulations! The car looks awesome, and the alloys are superb. People selling hondas, toyotas for the Jet proves how good this Fiat machine is - amazing. Wish you lotsa miles with the Jet, and drive-safe.

Re: Fuelled FIRE into my (T)JET

bnzjon, congratulations on your new jet.Impressive writing as well.Fiat has surely impressed us with all their products and now with this new jet flying in.
One thing i disliked is its steering console which comes with black and grey shade, i mean why the hell do fiat need to give those shades, instead all black or black with beige would have looked awesome, your take on that?
Enjoy your jet.

Re: Fuelled FIRE into my (T)JET

Many congrats for owning the beauty again!

Apart from engine and other goodies offered in T-Jet, what differences (improvements/cost-cuttings) do you see with the 2011 model and what you owned earlier?

Re: Fuelled FIRE into my (T)JET

@BNZJon: Absolutely impeccable choice you made buddy! Love every part of the car and your writeup is really good too. I guess owning a T-Jet brings out the romantic side of the person. I think I read similar poetic stuff in another T-Jet owner's writeup. And I think its natural.

No offense meant to anyone, but IMHO T-Jet is the best car in the 10 lakhs category.

Waiting for HD pics of the beauty.
