You will have your change pretty soon.do not worry KSM. And Thanks for the kind words.

Next up was Times Square.

It was quite easy to reach from Jersey City to Times Square for me.
Just board the PATH from NEWPORT to 33rd street and walk to Macy's and there you are !

I did at least 2 to 3 trips to Times Square during my stay. But the crowd got me to it.
From an Indian perspective (at least for me) the crowded Times Square was a bummer except for all the bling and the bright lights of course !
Also, this kind of substituted Vegas for me (too expensive and not much time forced me to drop Las Vegas).

Also here's a weird trivia about Times Square :
Quote:
Times Square is the only neighborhood with zoning ordinances requiring building owners to display illuminated signs.
- source WIKI
In layman's term - If you want to put up shop in Times Square, You need to bling it up !

Even the NY police department is not spared. Have a look :

MACY's :
Unfortunately I could not get the window display snaps.
It was quite a show.
If any body has a snap please do upload them

Gotham Hall :
(Please pardon the shifty image as it was cold and I was shivering too )
My company's Christmas/New Year Eve party was held here.

Quite a magnificient building from inside. It looked like one of those Gringott banks from Harry Potter. Spooky and beautiful.

Yes Dutch had named it New Amsterdam. Haarlem is one suburb in NY which is common with Amsterdam. So you get the relation.

Also one more interesting fact is after some treaty, Dutch exchanged NewYork with Suriname.
