You can visit Verinag as well, from there you go upto Titanic point and then come back to Srinagar. The gardens aren't really at their best at this time of the year. You can go to Hazratbal too to see Dal from other side, Have the Halwa Paratha over there just outside the entry to Hazratbal, it's delicious.
Be prepared for biting cold, I was there in Jan few years back & stayed in Gulmarg. I had to first boil some water in the electric kettle and then pour it in the pot so that the frozen water melts to use it.
That's how cold it gets.
