Which animal is sacrificed for us to consume its tongue? I am a non-vegetarian by the way. Just that we don't get to eat exotic food here

The same animal that is sacrificed for us to consume its meat
Yes SumitB its really the tongue. Its a delicacy. All kinds of tongues are consumed; lamb, Beef, Ox etc. Roast tongue sandwiches are brilliant to have. It should be cooked well. The meat is firm yet very delicate.
Next time you visit a continental place, call for this dish.

I am sure I'll puke by the time the thing arrives. I don't have a heart for exotics (food that is) I must admit. Good to see but when it comes to eating, a definite no, no, for me.

Imagine a goonga bakra

Yeah, a Dead Goonga Bakra. Please SumitB the tongue is got out of only the animal slaughtered for its meat. Its not as if tongues are cut off from living animals and then they are left tonguless.

Well it does not look like a tongue when presented to you. Its sliced like any other meat so wouldn't know.
