Wonderful Timepass at Wonder la

My sister's kids and my wife's sister's kids had come to my place last week at the end of their summer holidays. Schools will start from Monday, June 2 and they would go back home on Sunday. We wanted to have some fun time together before they leave. So, we all (me, my wife, my sister with her kids, and my wife's sister's kids) zeroed in on Wonder la. On Sunday, June 1, we left our home at 10:30 and reached Wonder la at 11:15.

Joker at the entrance. Kids loved him.

It was very hot and we changed dress at locker rooms and headed straight into the water.

At this time, I was totally wet and worried that I may damage my camera. Hence managed few more pics and kept the camera in the locker.

Some other attractions I could not capture in the camera are Crazy cars, Dungeons of Horror, Cine magic, Sky wheel and tower, Wonder splash, Wave pools, etc. There are more than 50 items, and we missed many of them as we spent lot of time in the waters.

All in all, we had a wonderful time, kids enjoyed the most, and we left the park at around 8 pm.

That can be a great idea but not at the moment. Let my kid start walking, i am waiting for that and hence postponed the Wonderla trip.

Even if your kid starts walking (8-10 months) I dont think they will have rides for kids lesser than 3-4 years.

Do you want to wait that long ??

Yeah the layout is the same as Veegaland and the rides are also named exactly the same (termite coaster, splash, lazy river etc) and since the owner/operator is the same (V Guard Kochouseph) the upkeep will be top-notch too.

They do things professionally, that group.

I agree. I had been to Wonderla about 3 weeks back. I was amazed to see the cleanliness at the place and the professionalism shown by the staff. Needless to say, my daughter enjoyed the place very much. She fondly refers to that place as "manganna park" (monkey park, as their logo has a monkey there).

I've seen the staff at Veegaland cleaning the flagstones ONE BY ONE with a brush - now that is an almost paranoid obsession with cleanliness that I have only seen in Singapore before. Despite being over 6 (or is it 7?) years old that park still looks brand new - I hope they continue in that manner forever, because that is a must-visit place every time my son is in Cochin.

Same thing at Wonderla here. Even the rest rooms were very well maintained. That is something I have not seen even at HAL airport in Bangalore. BIAL does not seem to be any different, based on the reports that keep coming in newspapers.

Yes...it is run by his son who is a good friend of mine. His name is Arun.

If there is a team-bhp meet there, let me know and I can ask him for some deals.

They are also opening another park soon on the highway between Bombay and Pune.

Cheers,

Manas

Absolutely ! There are so many maintenance staff. They are present at every nook and corner of the park. Some are cleaninng, some are keeping close eye on kids, some are blowing whistle whenever someone is acting smart. I also saw water testing lab which checks the water all the time for impurity etc. Also, when we were having lunch, someone enquired about taste and quality of food. So nice.

BTW, I forgot about rates:

For Adult Rs. 570 + E. Tax 28.50 = Rs. 598.50
For Child Rs. 420 + E. Tax 21.00 = Rs. 441.00

Now, at the entrance they have 2 white band markings on pillars at 90 cm and 140 cm. You stand near the pillar. If you are below 90 cm, you are an infant and entry is free. If you are between 90 and 140 cm, you are a child - half ticket. And if you are above 140 cm - you are adult, full ticket
