Legoland Land Land

Woke up quite late on the saturday, and quickly get showered and changed and down to the restaurant for breakfast. Joshua is way too excited to eat and he keeps singing the song from the Legoland commercial. He asks so many questions, will there be a special Bionicle Area ? What about the Knights Kingdom mum? I know for a fact there's a Viking area, so we try distracting him and he just goes on, but it's fun.

Finally, we are off at around 10:30 am, and again, traffic is awful. Weekend, school holidays, but we are positive. Singing along to Radio One, and the beat goes on and on and on....and this annoying song by the Ting Tings that you just can't help sing along to, That's not my name! We hit Windsor and traffic just slows to a crawl. Half the traffic is going to the castle and the amusement area there and the rest to Legland. We had already bought our tickets online, so hopefully it will be ok.
Parking is busy, but we find a decent space. This is what I like about being in the U.K. Everything is orderly. No one grumbles about walking, the quiet patience. Come to the middle east and if you are in a queue for more than 5 minutes people start getting restless.

We go in and it is just unbelievable. We don't know where to look, what to do. Stand there for a few minutes, Craig gets a map and then we just decide to follow the path and walk around.

I will let the pictures talk for themselves. We walked in first to the Imagination centre, then to the Mini Land, past the fire station, to the land of the Vikings. Then to the Wild woods where Jamie & I walked about, while Craig & Joshua went on this ride called the Pirate Falls. Joshua also panned for 'gold' and after he collected some 'nuggets' he was given a gold medal. Went to Knight's Kingdom which is really a huge restaurant and has shops. A bit disappointing. Hotdogs & juices for lunch and then walked to the Digger challenge. Jamie and I wandered off and sat by the steps, waiting for the show to start at Lego City Harbour : The Revenge of the Aztec Queen.

After the show we had some scrummy donuts & ice creams, and walked to the adventure land, then to the Dino Dipper where Craig & Joshua went on another ride. We then walked all the way back to the entrance. Bought souvenirs, I bought a lego cake mould, Josh and Craig Star Wars keychains & Jamie a Pirate hat.

We had SO much fun, even though Josh didn't go on many rides & Jamie couldn't go on any. We would go there again when Jamie is a bit older and also during a time when we wouldn't have to queue up so much.

I will have to post the pictures later, having probs uploading them again. Apologies :(
