Hail Storm in Ooty

Well, never seen such heavy hailstorms in my life. Is it normal to have such heavy downpour of hailstones? its almost like a sheet of ice there.

what is the weather and road conditions like right now , what would be the best time of the day to drive. dont want to miss the scenic view.

do u suggest going to ooty via , kothagiri or conoor.

Is it result of global warming? Cannot believe that we could have this in Tamil Nadu of all place.
