Rothenburg

I recently visited this old german city. The first construction of the City was started somewhere in the year 1070. The city is surrounded by wall and towers and you can roam around on these wall as well climbing on tower is possible through wooden steps inside.

Awesome pics. Reminds me of my days with Bosch in Stuttgart, and all the trips with the schones wochenende carte, the oktoberfest bier, & the autobahn.

Here are images from my recent visit to Oberammergau.

Oberammergau is a small village which is located in Bavaria reagion. Oberammergau is famous for woodcarving and religious scenes found on many homes and buildings. It is 2 hour train journey from Munich. The train goes from Munich to Murnau and from Murau only 2 boggi small train goes to Oberammergau. The green mountain beauty from train is amazing between Murnau to Oberammergau.

These are some wonderful pics. I have not seen such kind of pics in this forum. Thanks for sharing.

Can you just suggest which one would be the best slot to visit Europe? I have three options -Christmas, March end 2011, Jul beginning 2011. I will have about 10-14 days in these slots and I intend to visit UK, France and Germany.

Thanks Guys,

@TaureanBull: Never during Christmas, you will freez in -ve tempreture as well nothing much to see and do. Eveywhere you will see single white color of snow

July beginning is the Best season to roam in Europe, during July tempreture varies between 20 to 30 degree. But you need to book hotels atleast 2 month in advance.

Also Germany has the cheapest travelling expense. Every state has 1 day state ticket for 29 EUR which can be shared among 5 person that means 6 EUR per person. This ticket is valid for one day where you can roam anywhere in the state by local trains, as well you can use city transport. Usually local trains takes 2.5 hours to reach 200 KM, that means you can cover a lot in a day with 29 EUR ticket.

Photos from my recent visit to Linderhof Palace. This is located in Germany's Bavaria region. Around 2 hour journey from Munich by train. The palace is beautiful but the overall surrounding makes it awesome beauty.
