Lets have a 3 way race. Whoever comes out last treats the other two to dinner. If two dont complete, they share the bill.

Come on we need to push each other to complete our TLs, I am getting angry updates from some people I know!

Re: The Swiss Alps and Turkish Culture: A PHOTOBLOG!

Really sorry for this, But to be frank there's not much from Switzerland.

No, i did not go to the alps. I was mostly busy in the city and my hotel room, it was damn cold!! The food and the jacuzi were better than snow!

Anyways, if you guys say, i'll post whatever pics i have taken. Just for BHPians..

EDIT: 66 photos selected for upload, pending one YES! from any BHPian!

Re: The Swiss Alps and Turkish Culture: A PHOTOBLOG!

Ok, i was gonna post anyways!

Let me tell you guys first that my hotel was atop a hill near Aigle (small town near Leysin [LAYSAWN]), we had to rely heavily on trains (we had a rail pass), and it took a good 2 hours just to reach any city from our village. But spending those few days in country had its good side- the VIEWS! Yes, the sceneries were absolutely stunning! Clouds, Mountains, Greenery all were very beautiful!

So, here goes... (please don't mind the quality as its my old canon 7MP)

The first mountain as viewed from the train
The Swiss Alps and Turkish Culture: A PHOTOBLOG!-img_0489.jpg

The first views from my balcony as we settled into our rooms, it was FREEEEZING!!! (negative temperatures, i guess!)
Beautiful Isn't it?

The Swiss Alps and Turkish Culture: A PHOTOBLOG!-img_0491.jpg

...and in a few minutes, beautiful turns grey!
The Swiss Alps and Turkish Culture: A PHOTOBLOG!-img_0492.jpg

full zoom from my small camera, this is probably the closest i got to the snow there!
The Swiss Alps and Turkish Culture: A PHOTOBLOG!-img_0493.jpg

The first day in switzerland ended in this, this happened right in front of my eyes, within half hour i guess, its now i realized our hotel was on high altitude and things can change pretty quick!
The Swiss Alps and Turkish Culture: A PHOTOBLOG!-img_0494.jpg

Next morning, friends in woods! Still cold, but a little clear!
The Swiss Alps and Turkish Culture: A PHOTOBLOG!-img_0495.jpg

View from the toy train we had to take to climb the mountain for our hotel, 30 min. up , 30 min. down everyday!
The Swiss Alps and Turkish Culture: A PHOTOBLOG!-img_0501.jpg

Another one from the toy train.
The Swiss Alps and Turkish Culture: A PHOTOBLOG!-img_0504.jpg

No Zoom.
The Swiss Alps and Turkish Culture: A PHOTOBLOG!-img_0505.jpg

Down from the mountain, This is the station from where we decide which city to visit, as we could get only one train from our hotel (down the hill!)
The Swiss Alps and Turkish Culture: A PHOTOBLOG!-img_0509.jpg

More coming Soon... i hope you like these!
