I am assuming that the one at Peerumade (near DAIRE) is the latter you told? I stayed there, not Maryknoll. Funny, I don't even know the name of the hostel I stayed! I graduated in 2000 - BCA. Sorry for a bit .

Sceneries on my way back home

On the return travel, I did manage to stop and there to click some magics of nature. Let photos speak about it.

This is again part of the Malankara reservoir. Please note the white lines on hills, they are monsoon waterfalls.

Sorry devansn, i missed to notice your post. One near Peermade diary is very old and my graduation was in 2004 only. You are my MEGA senior, nice meeting you .

Coming back to topic, I am a frequenter to Idukki. Visited Vagamon, Kuttikkanam and Parunthumpara during my last vacation but unfortunately photos are not handy.

Last few snaps

After covering the Muttom stetch from idukki road, reached the narrow roads to bypass Thodupuzha and reach Kanjar. It was scenic but time was not allowing me to stop much. Here are the last batch of snaps from this trip.

Its a very small water body or the effects of rain

Re: Celebrated Hartal in native, discovered a quick vacation too.

Hey Jacob,

Happy to bump this thread up. I saw this while reading our Cochin drive and meet thread. Nice pics mate.

The thing is that I was hit back by memories by seeing your pics. The droplets in leaf and those small waterfalls. Exactly as of my village. I remember myself happily playing around in the rain. I will post a TL of my place also someday as a tribute to the wonderful place.

Thanks again mate !

Cheers.
