Shortest, it is. However, negotiating the traffic at kanchipuram is not easy. Roads aren't great too. Moreover, the joining place at chengalpet to the highway is confusing.

I would suggest that you keep away from this route

Re: After 10 long years - Mahabalipuram & Pondicherry

hi all,
As a part of month long Summer festival, Puducherry Tourism department has arranged for Food Festival "Gourmet 2013 Pondicherry Food Festival" at Old Harbour, Thengai thittu. Festival will start tomorrow (05-08-2013) and ends on Sunday (11-08-2013)

Dine with Music and Live Perfromances in Gourmet 2013 Pondicherry Food Festival

Date: 05th Aug 2013 to 11th Aug 2013
Time: 6:30 PM onwards
Venue: Thengai thittu Harbour

Participants: Abirami Residency, Anandha Inn, Annamalai Hotel, Atithi Hotel, Hotel Green Palace, Le Pondy, Le Royal Park, Maison Perumal, Ocean Spray, Prince Park, The Sunway GRT Grand, Anjappar, Bamboos Garden, Bon Bakes, China town, Hot Breads, Baker street, Seventh Heaven, Seagulls, The Pasta Bar Veneto, Hotel Virunthu.

Last year the event was named as "Gourmet 2012 Pondicherry Food Festival" which was held at Old Port, Near Seagulls for 3 days. Because of overwhelming response i think they have extended the fest this year for 7 days that too in a bigger place.
The best restaurants of puducherry are offering foods at discounted rates.

Re: After 10 long years - Mahabalipuram & Pondicherry

Planning a trip to Mahabalipuram in early Oct with family. Appreciate inputs from fellow BHPians for planning my trip.

- What is the best route to take from Bangalore (not the shortest that Google shows)
- Fuel options on the way (Prefer COCO bunks)
- Dont want to combine Pondi, what are my other options enroute that I can think exploring. Prefer more of historical / architecture oriented stops
- Planning to stay in TTDC. Any feedback on cleanliness of the rooms

What is the tool that you use to compile this kind of log. I am referring to the Toll Plaza logs. The excel sheet kind of picture that you pasted which has info on kms, price, elapse distance etc
Android app or is it manual process
